		<description>on the books by S.M.Stirling. including Dies the fire.  go through the series and you will find many really good hints scattered among the Stephen King sort of battle of good and evil religion.  especially on making weapons when there is no power.  use of salvaged materials and human reactions to disaster.</description>

		<description>Dies the Fire by S.M. Stirling is a good one too. Probably not the best for survival skills, but far from the worst and great at getting the post-apocalyptic-disaster-etc. viewpoint across. And it&#039;s a series if you stay interested.</description>
