About
Who The Hell Is M.D. Creekmore?

My name is M.D. Creekmore. I’m guessing you figured that out by now. I’m a full-time blogger and emergency preparedness consultant living off-grid in the Appalachian mountains of TN.
I’ve been doing this for a long time and I’ve gotten pretty good at it. Now, I show others how to prepare and prepare well even with limited resources.
Most preparedness sites give the impression that you need a lot of money to prepare, after all we need a stockpile of Freeze Dried Foods, $20,000 gun collection, SUV and retreat on 50 acres in Idaho.
Or so you’ve been led to believe. Nothing could be further from the truth. You can prepare with little money – I’ll show you how.
Personal Info
I started The Survivalist Blog in 2007 and since that time it has grown into one of the most popular preparedness sites on the web.
A few years a go I got sick of being another rat in the rat race-so I left. I bought two acres of land off the grid for $2,000 and parked a 26 foot travel trailer on it.
For power, I have a homemade generator and small solar set-up.
As a teenager I studied Shotokan Karate, earning my black belt in three years. I am a certified gunsmith and a certified first-aid CPR instructor, or at least I was until I let my certification lapse.
