Backwoods Home

I have been a reader of
Backwoods Home
for years, but not wanting to part with the $24 subscription fee, I would check the magazine rack at the local Wal-Mart for the latest copy, read it, then put it back without buying.
Now, for some reason they stopped carrying it. As much as I loath parting with the contents of my wallet, I love this magazine and enjoy the fix that comes with each new issue, so with shaky hands and sweaty palms, I filled out the money order for my subscription and mailed it off. I am now a subscriber.
Before you flood the comments and my email, I know they post several articles from each issue on their web site, which is great, but this offers only a small sample of what is inside the paper issue, I want to read it all, from front to back, not just the few select articles offered on their site.
I spend hours looking at a computer screen, writing and editing this blog – reading an actual paper copy of anything is a welcome change.
Imagine sitting outside watching the sun set, chickens flying to roost, it’s so quite you swear you hear the garden growing as you turn the next page of that interesting article you found in the latest issue of Backwoods Home Magazine
.
