You can read it here. If you’re already a Facebook user, please take a second and become a fan of our Facebook page, and share the page with your friends. Thanks.
I found this on your Facebook page. It is so shocking that I hope you will share it with the Wolf Pack.
On this issue only, I support Putin and am ashamed of the position of our president. TDL doesn’t care about us or our future. Shameful.
His attitude, shown by his position on this issue and many other issues portends of martial law as a tool to eliminate all future elections.
I don’t use Facebook or Twitter; however, I do have a LinkedIn account. My friends and contacts are generally real people that I know personally, and I simply don’t have time for social media, preferring instead to spend my limited free time at places like this forum.
+1 – i am the exact same, LOL. linked in that’s it. it keeps my resume ready and holds on to my recommendations forever.
I am the same except I don’t do LinkedIn either.
Facebook? Not now, not ever, never. Not even when my kids ask me to. As I always say and used to tell my customers, any one dumb enough to use Facebook (or equivalents) deserves everything they get.
So what are you saying that I’m a dumb twit for using Facebook? Like I said in another comment “Everyone in the U.S. is already “on the radar” they are already watching, recording and tracking everyone (even you).” Do you use the internet (obviously you do) then you are being watched, how about the telephone (both cell and landline) then you’re being recorded, use a credit card then your purchases are all on record. They even check snail mail as was recently reported and admitted to.
Just because you refuse to use one service doesn’t mean that they are not watching every move that you make via a hundred others. If I can use Facebook to help me get the word out, about prepping, and where the country is and where it is going, I will do that, if they want to watch and read that’s great, maybe a few of them will see the truth. But that is a personal decision that I have made to help as many folks as I can no matter if it puts me in danger via the spotlight.
if i were an author, like you, i would have a page. I used to have one but i didn’t keep up with it.
I don’t use Fakebook for the pure fact that they control the 1st Amendment on their pages. When I posted the truth about some situations where I was boots on the ground, those posts were deleted with no explanation or communication. They were just gone. I never put anything important on Fakebook. Yes they track you, yes, they record you. Why help them in any way? When you have a monopoly on the “truth” like Fakebook does, it makes it far easier to manipulate the population and what you report, even if it is total fiction will be shared by millions as “the truth”. Sorry MD but I’m with Tommy on this one.
Keep in mind that only the government is bound by the first amendment, not Facebook. We may not like it, but we should not misunderstand or forget it.
It’s that kind of thinking that has gotten us into our current situation.
What kind of thinking? You mean constitutional law? The rights that give Facebook the right to censor posts, are the same ones that allow us to gather here and post what we want. It seems to me that some have called for MD to censor some trolls here, and since this is his property, he has that right if he wants to do so. Likewise, you can start your own version of this blog or of Facebook, and allow od disallow anything you want. Sometimes freedom has a downside, but it’s still the best thing going.
You were mistaken in your first post and this one as well. It is we the people that are bound by the Constitution. Not just the guberment. I stand by my previous statement. This is not about MD. This is about Fakebook. You said, ” Likewise, you can start your own version of this blog or of Facebook, and allow od disallow anything you want. Sometimes freedom has a downside, but it’s still the best thing going.” Had you read my post fully you would see that the facts don’t support you as what I posted to Fakebook was deleted. Once again, has nothing to do with MD. Has to do with Fakebook manipulating public thought and information based on their agenda.
I did read your entire post, and understand that FB deleted some of your posts, which is their right as the owner of the service. It seems to me that you misunderstand the bill of rights. The bill of rights is a prohibition on the government violating our rights. Facebook, a private entity, may have any policy, based on their own agenda, just as you may elect to use or not use their service.
The same is true for CNN, MSNBC, Fox, and any other media out there. It may not seem fair; however, it is constitutional.
It was never about the legality, it was about the ability. If someone lies and covers things up do you reward them because they are not Constitutionally bound to be truthful?
The reason I find myself on this site more often than not is because MD, who is not legally bound to follow the Constitution, posts the full story and both sides of the argument. Also I’ve never been contacted by some low life snake oil salesman saying they got my information from this site. So in fact you could say that MD abides by the Constitution even though he is not legally bound by it. If more people were like MD in their social networking I contend that this country would be better off. No additional legislation needed. Fakebook is the antithesis of that argument.
Yeah I am. You and every other person who uses Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or any type of social media. Shouldn’t be a surprise though as I’ve stated the same exact sentiment in the same exact words several times here. Just because the neighbors are gonna watch an open window no matter what doesn’t mean you have to be foolish enough to dance naked in it.
Done – If I’m not on the radar already, this won’t likely get me there.
Everyone in the U.S. is already “on the radar” they are watching, recording and tracking everyone.
Just liked your page. Share it? You mean shock my liberal friends like they shock me? Gladly. Freedom of speech after all.
Good for you ……….I still dont plan to get it .
Facebook is WAY too invasive for me.
I can cope with Big Brother, but I’ll do everything else to keep Big Advertising at arm’s length.
So, M.D., how long do you think it will take FB to shut you down when you make a politically incorrect statement? Or post something on firearms, or tell the truth even?
I’ve had the page up about a year not shut down yet. But it don’t matter much I’ve shared a lot of stuff during that year.
You’re slipping, M.D. You need to try harder.
Ah Crap, you are living up to your name.
Well this can’t hurt my efforts to get on the list anyway MD is right if you can read this you are being watched see I have an idea I’ve been floating around to design a perfect antivirus the issue I’ve run across is it would slow the computer to a crawl but all that’s put on hold right now cuz I got strep…
Heads up. Harbor freight has a Brake Bleeder and Vacuum Pump Kit on sale for $26.99. Regular price is $49.99 with coupon.
This tool can be used to vacuum jars and Mylar bags when your FoodSaver no longer works if the electrical grid is down.
P.S. We are going South to the DW’s annual family reunion; be back Monday. I’m gonna take as many in-laws as I can snipe hunting in the area of Turkey Run state park, Indiana.
Hahaha I went to a few family reunions at Turkey Run park when I was a kid, and went on a snipe hunt once, caught about 6!! At least that was what I told the new cousins the next year!!!
The truth is, my in-laws take me snipe hunting more times than I can return the favor.
I have a facebook page but I NEVER like, post or do anything with it but read all the other crap my “friends” and family post. I will occasionally post a snarky comment on my sisters posts but that is it. I have always been a private person and nobody needs to know my business unless I want them to , of course I guess now that does not include the gooberment.
:-) + 10
I realize that we are at the end of the 2013 gardening season, but I just wanted to let you and your subscribers that I have just released a new gardening book that all preppers should take a look at.
It’s title is: RAIN GUTTER GARDENING SYSTEM
Anyway, you and your fellow preppers can check it out at:
I do not use tweeter or facebook, please keep yyour letter going.
Nothing wrong with Facebook if you are promoting your business or want to share photos with family. I can’t believe the hateful attitudes about it!
I have a page with direct family and a few friends and we share our kids picts and family adventures with each other as we live from coast to coast. We would not be sharing our lives this way with out it. Well, we didn’t which is shameful. But, I love seeing my nephew earn his blackbelt and my Sister graduate from the police academy. The government doesn’t give two shits about our family drama, and I think we blend in better.
All I got to say is,……If you don’t like social media then don’t use it. Don’t waste your breath telling MD your option about it. It is none of your concern.
Actually I have started telling folks that their opinion of me is none of my business.
MD, it is your life, your business, and your decision. You rawk. I will like your page and share posts, Even though I am private, I might not post because people could put two and two together and see what I look like, Or my farm. Just plain old OPSEC, but it won’t stop me from enjoying your page and sending friends over.
The main reason that I have the page and let the wolf pack know about it is because I share some news and stuff on Facebook that I don’t post here. Anyone can read either page without signing up or anything, and both are free to read…
I personally have no need or time to play on Facebook; however, with the DD away at school nearly 800 miles away, she and the DW keep in touch. As long as you keep things relatively private, it’s not a bad way to keep in touch with family and real friends (physical people that you know).
The problem is… Facebook has proved that they can’t keep things private. They make a change on the site and the next thing you know… you’re private (friends only) stuff is out there for the world to see.
It has happened in the past! No reason to believe it wont happen in the future as well.
good job on Facebook, government tracking made easy
