The feds want to regulate blogs

by M.D. Creekmore on May 24, 2009

The Feds are looking to regulate bloggers, the Federal Trade Commission says new rules are necessary because sometimes company’s give bloggers free stuff and the blogger gives the product a favorable review.

This is nonsense and just another of case of the Feds sticking their nose where it doesn’t belong, most bloggers are honest people who write honest endorsements and reviews and are not swayed to lie because company X donated a sample of the merchandise in question.

Of all the reviews on The Survivalist Blog only one has been of a “free” product, Michael J. Panzners book When Giants Fall , and I gave it a piss poor review. He quickly cut off contact and removed me from his blog roll.

If you have a product you would like to see reviewed on the blog, thats fine; I’ll take a look. Just don’t expect me to lie and don’t go off snotting, whining and cursing me under your breath if the review doesn’t go the way you hoped.
