Nerves : “Like many people I hate insecurity. Actually I suspect I hate insecurity more than most of you, and there’s a reason for that. During the worst times in my life, things were… insecure. I’ve said before that even in a revolution, even in turmoil, there is a lot of normality behind the chaos.” Thanks to Tom B for the link.

Major banks hit with biggest cyberattacks in history : “There’s a good chance your bank’s website was attacked over the past week.” Thanks to mtwoman for the link.

If U.S. Troops Fight WWIII, Who Fights The Coming American Civil War? : “U.S. troops available for deployment to fight a full-blown war is 1.4 million, with an additional 2.1 million, if all of NATO were to oblige. On the other hand, if the Chinese commanded its people to deliver up every able 18-year-old male to fight a full-blown war, 6.5 million would need a uniform. When all 18-year-old Chinese men are knocked off in first rounds of battle, another 6.5 million 19-year-old vengeful can step in, with another set of 17-year-old men coming of age at the rate of 500,000 per month.”

The Stylish Man’s Guide to Concealed Carry : “Concealed carry” exists for a number of reasons. When you’re doing it, you want to be living up to both parts of the phrase: you want to be carrying, and have access to, a firearm, and you want it to be discreetly hidden until such time as you need it.” Thanks to Burt R for the link.

Three Star General: Muslim Brotherhood Has Infiltrated Our Government : “U.S. Army Lieutenant General (Ret.) William Jerry Boykin claims that individuals with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood hold security clearances in both the Pentagon and the Department of Defense.” Thanks to Scott G for the link.

25 Things That Probably Caused the World’s Bacon Shortage : Thanks to Kim for the link. But then is there really a bacon shortage?

What To Expect If President Obama Wins The 2012 Election : “With nearly four years under President Barack Obama’s reign, America’s economic recovery is struggling to pick up speed and unemployment remains above an unhealthy 8%.”

“Why Are So Many Young Adults Living With Their Parents? : In the United States today, more young adults than ever are living with their parents. Right now, approximately 53 percent of all Americans in the 18 to 24-year-old age bracket are living at home.”

Some good news to start your day – Rolling Back Gun Restrictions : “In the past four years a barrage of measures across 37 states have made it easier to own, carry, and conceal firearms.”

Comments

  1. Radical Muslims infiltrating the government…Well there’s a novel thought. Because of our open society, it has ALWAYS been easy for someone to infiltrate our government. It’s been going on for decades. Most of our “enemies” have long term goals and are willing to spend those decades getting people into place. We have developed a culture that wants problems solved “today” and are not willing to look long term. Then too we want to be liked, so we don’t look at others as potential threats until it’s too late and we have a problem with them.

  2. If or when WW III happens I don’t think it would get to the point of having millions of soldiers involved, the bombs will just start falling and it will be over for all of us. Have to still wonder how many of those nuetron bombs still exist and are hidden and may be used to just get rid of people and not infrastructure.

  3. If any WWIII falls on US soil, I doubt 18 year olds will be the youngest people to become engaged in warfare, I certainly hope it would not come to that, but if it came to defending ‘your property and life’ there is no discrimination of age in war. Current events with France vacating their embassies are signs that they see the writing on the wall and are getting out while they still can. I would venture other countries are considering quickly to follow suit.

As for Fearless Leader requesting Greece to remain in the Euro-Zone at least until after the election, and asking Israel to refrain from any reaction to Iran at least until after the election; IMHO these are all attempts to try and make himself ‘look good’ and not as an individual that could not stop an economic crash or a start of a war… again, IMHO even those requests do not hide the fact that the economy is tanking and there is potential for war, which ‘could’ become another World War as compared to only a regional.

As for Muslims being in positions of government and military, SO WHAT! Our country has held a long time position to freedom of religion and many people have come to this country to escape religious persecution. To me, it does not matter if people are black, white, red, yellow, brown, or green with purple pokka-dots, if they are Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Scientologists or whatever their belief may be… people are people and all deserve the same respect unless their individual actions warrant otherwise.

I seriously doubt there is a real bacon shortage, and if there is, I would venture peoples dietary health would improve without it.

IF Fearless Leader gets reelected, just like is previous promises of “Hope” failed, his current promise of moving “Forward” will just as likely move backward. The man had his chance and performed miserably IMHO, now it’s time for one of his previous slogans to occur “Change!”

    • Mike , I also respect all people regardless of race , or religion. However the radical Muslims have an agenda that the Christians and Jews and Hindus etc do not and it is to kill us “infidels” Please read the book They Must be stopped by Brigitte Gabriel. She explains why we must defeat radical Islam and how we
      can do it.
We have friends of all religions and we have attended Passover dinners and Quaker meetings and many others but our Muslim acquanitances balked at our son attending one of their services-
a year later one of their Imans (sp?) was arrested for a terrorist plot.
People write their scripts in due time but for the US I sense the time is passes and Israel has the right idea.I try to be peaceful in my heart and prayers but the Radical Islams will stop at nothing and they treat woman like crap. Arlene

      • As part of my awareness of other religious worships, I have attended many Jewish services and Messianic celebrations and was welcomed to Seder a number of times. When I visited relatives in the area, I also attended Amish / Mennonite meetings as well. When I dated a Buddhist girl, I had attended some of those services, and when I was in India for two months, one of my co-workers there invited me to attend a Hindu service with his family. Even though I do work with some Muslims I have not attended or have attempted to attend any Islamic services.

I agree that there are “radical Muslims” out there, but the individuals I have met and work with have not given any indication that they are anything other than peaceful individuals, and certainly no indication of being radical. Just because there is a percentage of Muslims that do fall into the “radical” category, should not be cause to stereotype all Muslims. There are also devout Christians and Orthodox Jews, which some of those members could also be categorized as “radical.” This goes back to my statement where people are people and all deserve the same respect [emphasis implied] “unless their individual actions warrant otherwise.”

We all breathe the same air, we all drink the same water, we all need to eat food, we all wish our children to grow into honorable adults, we all share this planet we call home.

Maybe it will take an event like aliens in spaceships invading our planet for all humans to finally realize, we are all human, we are all impacted by the same diseases, and in the event of an alien attack, we all face the same outcome as a “human” race. Until that unlikely event occurs, we all must do the best we can to coexist with each other, and put all the superfluous differences aside.

        • Tactical G-Ma says:

          Mike,
I agree with you 100%. But there is at least a religious group throughout the world who believe if we who are not Muslim, should either convert to Muslim or DIE!
Also, the US is hated for the capitalists who exploited people of the middle east. Yet, it is all the sheiks and shaws, like those with vacation homes in Dubai, who are sitting on mountains of gold and oil while many live in squallor.
Ok, they are misinformed and uneducated. But they are smart enough to know how to build IED’s and operate weapons like RPG’s.
Let me ask you, if NATO pulls out and no Americns are in the Middle East, who will benefit?

          • Hunker-Down says:

            Tactical G-Ma,

They have a strong tradition of intermarriage as a way to keep non believers out of their family, and to keep wealth within the family. I read a study that claims that usually when one marries a first cousin, there is a loss on average of 16 points in IQ in their offspring. One wonders just how dumb one can be and still build an IED.

            • HD, I wondered when someone would mention this…I have said for years, that this is what happens when cousins marry…and have meant it!

            • Hunker Down- the Amish make it a point to have the young people of one area meet others from a distant
area to prevent line breeding. Amish have experienced children with 6 fingers due to close breeding. They are wise.-unlike the desert folks who probably also keep the wealth within the rich families as the English and American blue bloods did Arlene

          • Yes, I would call anyone that believes wholeheartedly that if someone MUST convert to ‘their’ religion or die a radical. In Christianity it is said the only way to the Father is through Christ, otherwise they are spiritually dead… granted, that is not the same as physically going around killing “non-believers,” but some few that take that thought to an extreme and kill non-believers (aka infidels) would also be considered a radical. I am only reversing the roles of what is a smaller percentage. IMHO, just like the immoral minority in the US that vocalize their opinions such as ‘separation of church and state’ while the majority of believers remain silent about it.

You ask; If NATO pulls out and no Americans are in the Middle East, who will benefit?

I would say the average taxpayer would benefit because the expenses required keeping all the NATO forces in place would dramatically decline. Sure those same forces would be relocated, and hopefully back home.

Next I would say the “mountain of gold and oil” those sheiks are sitting on will be larger for them and those that live in squalor will continue to do so.

Then I would say the Taliban and Al Qaeda would benefit by growth of power within the region because their primary resistance will be gone.

The question then is flipped; If NATO pulls out of the Middle East, who will be negatively impacted?

            • Tactical G-Ma says:

              Mike,
Back in the day we used to say:
“If you can’t lick ‘em, GLCM!”
              (Ground Launch Cruise Missile)
If they don’t implode, we explode.

        • Homeinsteader says:

Hello, Mike! While I applaud your sentiment in the “can’t we all just get along” mode (and there are those on this site who are kindred spirits with you on this) it just isn’t going to happen. History should prove this statement in the natural world, a world we have created – a “fallen” world; and, as long as you have men with the sin nature (which you WILL have until the King of Kings reigns on Earth), you will have this kind of world.

I’m sure you’ve seen the bumper sticker, “Co-Exist”, on which emblems of the world’s major “religions” are linked. I like the idea that we’d all just “get along”, but, again I say, it will never happen.

Then there’s the bumper sticker, “You can’t co-exist with someone who wants to kill you”. That would be Muslims. They are under a MANDATE to kill all who are not Muslim and will not convert. Read the Qu’ran – it’s full of those directives – it’s not a suggestion – it’s a command – repeated hundreds of times.

Those “peaceful Muslims” you want to defend in this country? They will turn on every one who is not Muslim like a two-headed snake, when the time comes, and it is coming.

Our children will not grow into adults “getting along”. Men will never get along to that extent – it is the nature of the beast (the father of this world at work in this world) that some will always try to force their will and way on others. And, when you read the Word of G-d, you will see that early on, in the Book of Genesis, Holy G-d calls the Arab people “wild man” – meaning he has no regard for the law (G-d’s law) and that he (the Arab) will ALWAYS be at war with other men (his hand will be against every man and every man’s hand will be against him). That’s ancient language for always being at war.

The fact that many Muslims have been in this nation since the late 60’s, early 70’s is no accident – they’ve been integrating into our society with the intention of being ready to take over. And they will surely take this step under our present leadership.

There will be no aliens abducting anyone from the planet. That’s one of the many lies of L.Ron Hubbard. I’m quite certain he knows the fallacy of his ways by now.

Yes, we are ALL free to decide what we WANT believe. We are given that “free will”. It is my fervent prayer that we will ALL choose wisely, for that choice has eternal implications, and, once we enter the eternity we have chosen, it’s over. That’s where we shall “live” for all eternity. We do not poof off into non-existence, as some would teach. That, too, is a lie straight from the pits of hell. We are fully aware of our eternal existence; this is all in Holy G-d’s Word.

Not one word I have spoken is not in the Word of Holy G-d. Anyone can read it, and I suggest that all do just that. Read the Word of Holy G-d, the “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” (BIBLE). May I suggest the New King James Version? Or, perhaps even the English Standard Version?

AFTER you have read the Word of Holy G-d, read the Qu’ran; now contrast the two. Holy G-d asks little of His children beyond faith and obedience; the Muslim faith DEMANDS ALL and gives nothing. While the One, True G-d wants to love us, in exchange for which He asks only our love, the god of the Qu’ran causes much suffering and grief among humanity. That is my estimation of the contrast of two.

And, yes! I am adamant AND I WILL NOT BACK DOWN ON THIS – there is one Savior, Y’eshua/Jesus Christ, who made ONE sacrifice for all mankind for all time; He died a terrible death, stripped naked, flesh hanging, bleeding out on a cross for the sins of all mankind. We offend Holy G-d greatly when we ignore or replace that great sacrifice with a thing that man has created. We are all free to accept or reject that sacrifice, but the price of rejection is far greater than we can imagine in this world.

WWIII is coming, but it will not be like any war ever fought before. It WILL be the final war. 2/3 of the earth and everything in it will be consumed; only 1/3 will remain. Y’all want some hard truth? There it is. It’s in His Word, and acceptance or rejection isn’t going to change one word of G-d’s Word. What can we do? Know Him (Y’eshua/Jesus Christ) personally, and we have nothing to worry about. He protects us and covers us; that doesn’t mean we won’t suffer, but He’s got our backs, always. That, too, is in His Word.

I realize my words are strong and some will not like them. We do not have time to pussy-foot around; time is of the essence. We ALL need to know what we believe and why we believe it – and then be willing to stand by it – whatever each of decides that must be.

I’m not trying to be popular here or anywhere else (good thing – I know!), I’m trying to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth…because there just might be one person out there who will receive it, and that makes it worth all the venom that gets spewed when you say what G-d says.

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”.

Grace and peace to all, in the Name Above Every Name, He Who Was, and IS, and Shall Be Again, Y’eshua/Jesus Christ, Son of the Living G-d, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob….

        • Hunker-Down says:

          Mike,

There is a 2 part series on GBTV titled “The Project”. It can be viewed ‘on demand’. It outlines a plan, part of which is to “make nice” with the local population such that they can infiltrate our political system (they have). When they have enough political control, then burkas for all, else death. After all, when all the infidels are dead, there will be peace.

Currently there is a general of the United States saying that they hold jobs in high places in our government, have connections with the muslim brotherhood, AND hold top secret security clearances.

They have purpose and patience (and are making progress); we have distractions. Could it be that some of the nice folks you have met are part of “The Project”?

          • Both parts of “The Project” are posted on Youtube and I suggest that everyone watch the series. I also encourage everyone to contact their congressman and demand the release of the Holy Land Foundation trial documents from the DOJ.

        • Mike, yes if the world had to deal with hostile aliens we might all unite. My belief is that most Aliens are more advanced then we are.
re Muslims… We know folks who left Iran many years ago- with just the clothes on their backs -they feared for their lives leaving
but they sought freedom of speech and thought. They left well paying professional jobs to work in non professional lives here .
They wanted their daughters to dress modestly but no head covering etc.) They are NOT and never will be Radical muslims.
I know because our son dated theior daughter who was a medical student for three years. He learned the Farsi language out of love ( her parents speak English better than some Americans.
Our son is now married to a different woman . However he uses the Farsi to listen only to the Muslim men he works with
at a hospital . He once had to turn in a seemingly harmless
MD who was trying to sneak dangerous bacteria from a lab.
There are good and bad in all faiths but as you said no other religion teaches death to those who have a different belief.
I am becoming stronger in my Chriatian faith .Please let our
Representatives know that we will not accept being the brunt of the Radical Muslims agenda.

Rolling back gun restrictions. I realize the Mother Earth News writer and editors are appalled by the loosening of restrictions on firearms. But I loved these two:
“Sweet Jesus! In Louisiana, permit holders can carry concealed weapons inside houses of worship.

Without a trace: Virginia not only repealed a law requiring handgun vendors to submit sales records, but the state also ordered the destruction of all such previous records.”

I have always carried in my house of worship. It is not specifically forbidden and I am very discreet. “Sweet Jesus!” Indeed! I intend to defend the flock if some nut comes a knockin’. Folks do get attacked in their houses of worship and it will happen again.

Right on Virginia! The state doesn’t need to keep my gun purchase records forever as I suspect the FEDs do.

Love how M.E. News links this story to a story on the rise of mass shootings in America. By linking them , they attach a implied equivalence of 2nd amendment rights to mass killings. Mewling metrosexual propagandizing ass clowns….

All in all they cheered me up reporting the great advances in restoring our rights. I thank them for (blaming) crediting the Republicans and the diabolical NRA. Thanks ………….. mothers. ;)

    • sd, being from va., i’m encouraged by the progress. theres one thing though. the concealed carry law says the records go no further than the courthouse you applied at, however somehow the state troopers know who has one. more than once when pulled over for “traffic check” or whatever i have been asked “okay, wheres your permit? ” being unarmed at the time i politely asked them why they thought i had one. they clam up and shove my paperwork back at me. they aren’t suppose to know, but do so in direct violation to the law. one of the most liberal cities in va, roanoke, published the names and addresses of all cch permit holders in the paper! we have made great strides of late but there is much left to do. sic semper tyrannus

    • Dan:

We don’t have the house of worship restrictions up here, but I’m pretty sure that the congregation at my church, would EXPECT me to be carrying, openly and large, it a “high stress” time frame. Some would question it, most would expect it, and a few would welcome it. There’s already a few of us that regularly carry concealed under “normal” times.

    • Wonder if it would ever occur to them to write an article showing how many of the mass shootings occur in gun-free zones?

      • Georgia Boy – well said. Statistically it is amazing that there isnt more gun violence in our well armed society but no one does an article on that one. Seems like the law abiding gun owners do not commit the crimes but the punk -gang factors and the “mentally ill”
most mentally ill people I have known are not violent and do not pre meditate like those in the papers recently
        do . Arlene

        • Statistically, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, there were approximately 15 million hunting licenses issued in 2011, and unless your name is Dick Cheney, there are 15 million armed citizens out there that DID NOT shoot anyone.

        • SurvivorDan says:

As a civilian I have had occasion to prevent violence by simply being armed and occasionally ‘presenting’ a weapon without firing a shot. One rarely hears about that. But I reckon I’m preaching to the choir.
