→ Republicans vow to repeal Obamacare : “Repealing the law won’t happen before January 2013. It would be dependent on a triple Republican victory this November: Mitt Romney would need to defeat President Barack Obama, Republicans must hold their majority in the House, and they must also gain enough seats in the Senate so they have at least 50 of their own in the upper chamber.”

→ It’s Now Up To Voters To Throw Out The ObamaCare Mess : “By ignoring the Constitution it swore to defend, the Supreme Court has affirmed ObamaCare, making the already important fall elections even more critical. A new president and Congress are needed to rid the country of this meddlesome law.”

→ Health Care Ruling Re-Energizes Tea Party : “In upholding most of President Barack Obama’s health care law, the Supreme Court handed the tea party a new lease on life.”

→ Americans Are Being Prepared For Full Spectrum Tyranny : “As with the oppressive regimes of the past, America has undergone a dramatic transformation, heavy with fear and ignorance. Our tradition of elections has been corrupted and negated by the false left/right paradigm, and the leaderships of both defunct parties now seek only to elevate a select minority of men bent on globalization. Our Constitutional liberties have been dismantled by legal chicanery. Our principles have been diluted by intellectual games of rationalism and moral relativism. Our country is ripe for conquest.”

→ Google Shopping Censors All Gun, Ammo & Accessories Results : Google sent out an email to Google Adwords customers saying that they are going to pull all Google Shopping results for guns, ammunition, gun optics and gun accessories (Shopping results, not general search results at least not yet).

→ Your health : Great news guys (and possibly for the ladies, 😉 ) More sex will boost male testosterone levels, aiding weight loss and health. But then some ladies would rather take matters into their own hands.

→ At : Save up to $250 on Nikon Digital Cameras .

→ How The Taste Of Tomatoes Went Bad (And Kept On Going) : “The tomato is the vegetable (or fruit, if you must) that we love to hate. We know how good it can be and how bad it usually is. And everybody just wants to know: How did it get that way?” Thanks to Gayle for the link…

After the scotus decison. The Dread Scott of the 21st century. Goverment and there intrusion will drammatacly escelate. When someone asks me why I don`t fly I just reply tsa. Pardon my spelling I don`t care this morning.

  2. Yesterday, I found out something about me, that frankly has me worried. Apparently I am unable to go shopping without significantly adding to my preps.

I went to Costco and Winco last night. I told myself SEVERAL times, I was just going to get what I NEEDED to get, and wait until I got the rent for my prep money, and found that is not possible. I ended up with a bunch of stuff (over $100) to add to my food preps. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing, it’s just the out of control element that worries me. When I find Mr. Right, he’s got to be a prepper, or my addiction will cause me problems too (still thinking about and praying for you Survivor Dan).

Hi, my name is Michele, and I’m a prepaholic.

    • LOL Michele! I think I suffer from the same disorder whether I am in Costco, Home Depot, Harbor Freights or a sporting good store. It’s Me time as I say and get prep happy.

    • The first step in recovery, is admitting you have a problem 🙂

    • JP in MT says:

I understand. I went to the dollar store – I needed 10 of their glass enclosed candles to finish off a case – and ended up spending $50. Mostly future trade items and bandaids. Costco costs me more like $2-300. Maybe that’s why I’m running out of room.

    • Hi my name is Ellen and I’m a prepaholic.

      • Michele says:

I’m trying to accumulate food for my family + neighbors – so 30 or more people for at least a year (that’s 10,000 of grains, 2550 of legumes, 1800 lbs of sugars, 510 of fats and oils, and on and on) and I’m afraid I’m running out of time.

      • Soggy Prepper says:

Rofl Michelle!!! My youngest won’t even go shopping with me if she has a choice! She asks, “Mom, is it ‘normal’ grocery shopping or are you ‘storage shopping’?” lol
I mutter to myself as I walk through the isles, just normal shopping. hahaha Doesn’t really work.

My name is Soggy Prepper and I’m a prepaholic.
        (and into pantryporn)

        • SP,
My kids do the same thing! Cept they call it “End of the World” shopping. Doesn’t matter though becasue they still have to unload the truck.

My name is Mama J. I am a Prepaholic. I suffer from Prepperphernia and I indulge in Pantryporn. I have Arsenal Envy and my Doctor prescribes me Xanax because she really believes that I have issues. Maybe I do but, a good prepper would never turn down a good script to hoard. Ever. I am sure I will need it later.

      • michael c says:

        (the crowd says) “Hi Ellen!”

    • sw't tater says:

Many of us do the same, but you can only fill the deficit in your supplies if you choose to add to them as you realize it exists.
Part of your prepping may be the new realizations that come with being ready for a circumstance you had not considered before. Don’t be too quick to label yourself, there are those who will do it for you.
It is truly strange that there are guberm’t sites to encourage being ready, but when those choose to do so certain things trigger a “closer look”at people.
Things don’t have to be expensive to add up either! it only takes 90 -1$ items to be that 100$ if you also are paying a 10% sales tax.Seems like we can sneeze and put 250$ on the basket.
There are questions I ask myself and sometimes DH…like… it necessary, or a want? Do I have an appropriate place to store it ?

  3. riverrider says:

it doesn’t really matter any more. i’m tired of caring anyway. nothing can save us now. i think i will join the sheeple, can’t beat them, and they’re not worrying about a thing. i think i’ll mortgage my house to the hilt while the robbery/rates are low and go on a long trip, party like its 1999, buy a boat, sell all my guns, dump my preps in the landfill, stay drunk until my liver explodes. obamacare will give me a new one….wait, i forgot, they won’t. oh well, i’ll just have to save one bullet then. its funny i had the courage to raise a weapon across the sea but here when my country really needs me i have none. maybe my fellow virginians will not shirk their duty, virginia has always led the way. sic semper tyrannis

    • sw't tater says:

I wanna be at the landfill! lol

    • village idiot says:

It is rather disconcerting, river. I feel the same way, but our job is to be ready to lead when the time is ripe. It may be that this was the last best chance to fend off the barbarians. But we must, for the sake of our children, persevere or perish trying. We won’t have to wait long for the foul results of these two opinions of the past week on immigration and Obamacare. But we need to be patient for now, watch and observe, and be ready to act. Don’t go over to the Dark Side. That’s the easy way out, and I think I know you well enough to know you don’t take the easy way out, but stand on principal. You will be needed soon enough, be prepared and be vigilent. That’s the prepper mentality. I think we all need a little time off, time to contemplate what we’ve seen.

As hard as we worked to get people who respect the Constitution on this Court, it turned out to be one we thought we knew who betrayed us. Roberts turned out to be Saruman. I’m going to Florida for a week and not think about it. One thing is for certain, the credit markets will now get to make the decision. When we can’t borrow any more money, which will be soon, ObamaCare will be long gone. And so will a lot of other things. Patience, my friend.

    • michael c says:

Stay on the wagon – stay on the wagon, don’t fall off.

    • village idiot says:

River, more bad news from the clowns at the Court. Now they say that laws which make it a crime to lie about military service and honors are unconstitutional. One wonders if we’ve entered an alternate universe.

      • riverrider says:

roger that. it was the stolen honor ruling that broke this camel’s back. ….okay, pity party over. i’ll lick my wounds, take some r&r and come back swinging in a little while. have fun in F-L-A.

      • SurvivorDan says:

        Wut? it’s not a crime?
Well then….. I want y’all to know that I received the silver star (w/v for valor and the MOH in 1976. I got the first MOH when I was with a small group of DOD running ‘bibles’ in to Nicaragua. I was severely wounded during a firefight and a blooper round knocked me down a well . There were civilians trapped in there. I climbed out with a rather plump Sister’s of Mercy nun on my back, a baby in my right hand and a puppy in my teeth.
Later I received my second MOH, although posthumously, for throwing myself on a grenade…..twice.
Naturally, they played “Danny Boy” on gazoos at the funeral. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Even President Ford was weeping.

        • Just me says:

LOL You are a true hero sir! And thank you, I think we may have needed that. 🙂

        • SD,
LOL. My hero!!!! Did you get to met Forest Gump at the White House?
Thanks for saving that puppy. Did they let you keep it?

    • SurvivorDan says:

I like the boat idea. Do it! I’ll bring the guns and ammo.
      We’ll be pirates! 😉

I have morality issues about ransoming folks so we’ll just kill all the men and party with the women. Aaaargh!!!

      • SurvivorDan says:

I’d like to pirate in Nicaraguan waters first.
Hate El Presidente “I ain’t no Commie anymore” Ortega.
        Piracy. It’s an adventure.

        • riverrider says:

argh, thee last vestige of freedom, piracy!shiver me timbers! stow the mainsail, mind the mizzenmast, full speed ahead me mates, there’s booty to be plundered! i’ll bring the cannon 🙂 who’s bringing ye rum? can’t pillage without rum ye know……actually, i say we go viking and sack washington instead!

      • Ya’ll don’t forget that Amanda (from recent article) has a nice boat in Cali and needs some of your experience and unique qualities, to help her out.
She probably wouldn’t mind if you guys dressed like Pirates just so long you promised to let her in on the bounty. A couple pairs of shoes, some nice bling once in awhile.

    • Just me says:

river, I had a crisis of faith myself last week when I ran into a couple I have known most of my life. I said something discouraging and found they were like me. They said things aren’t as bleak as I thought, that they were “investing heavily…very heavily” in fighting this mess in Washington. (He is a Doctor and has been saving 10 per cent of his earnings since his first job, so I can only imagine what that $ figure is.) Many others are doing the same. I have another friend who said that there are too many causes in the world to worry about all of them, so just pick one and devote yourself to that. So the way I help is I lobby. Every issue of importance that I come across, I email the heck out of. Call, write letters, this I can do. I have gotten others to this as well. SOPA was one of my causes, gun regulations, obummercare. When I told my Dr. friend that some people were going grey, he said that was the worse thing they could do, that’s what they Want us to do. We can’t change what they’re doing with a gun but right now we need to Fight like our lives depend on it. Like our childrens lives depend on it.

      • Just Me,
Thats is just the kind of pep talk we need right now. Don’t go grey. Your Dr. friend is right.
        Stay low, but don’t go.

  4. The only article that gave me comfort was the one on tomato’s.

    • SurvivorDan says:

I remember Cook Agricultural College beafsteak tomatoes back in the 70s. Wow! They were great. They also had experimental hybrid hogs that were the size of cows (a little hyperbole). Also very tasty. Just needed some good lettuce for the ultimate BLTs.

I read once that one of the problems with tomatoes was they get shipped from the farms while still very green. True?

      • Yep. I don’t EVER buy tomatoes from the store, they have no taste. I grow tomatoes in the summer and eat them them (tomato sandwiches – yum!), and sun dry the rest.

  5. JP in MT says:

Well now we get the reaction to the health care bill. Now that we’ve read it and know better what’s in it. Looks like we have another political hot potato! And I was laughing at the part the pundents missed …. its a TAX!
    Who’d a thunk it!

    • sw't tater says:

I think everyone who voted for it needs term limit of the masses. If any of us signed something binding on everyone else and did not read it…they’d impeach us. Not only did they not read it, they didn’t even write it!

      • SurvivorDan says:

If we were subpoened by the IRS and we only selectively supplied ‘relevant’ (exculpatory) documents, we’d be on our way to prison.
And unlike AG Holdthis, if we were found in contempt of Congress we’d be heading straight for jail…..
        Frustrating, isn’t it?

  6. JP in MT says:

Google not letting gun related shopping searches through? Guess I just continue to use any of the 5 other search engines.

    • sw't tater says:

Maybe an appropriate method would be to always go thru another search engine…to reduce their work load, they must be gettin’ too busy…just my 2c

  7. Goldielocks says:

Too funny! Welcome to the group Michele. I too am a prepaholic. Ha

  8. Guilty of the whole prepaholic thing. Really glad I have never been a big fan of Google to start with, cause I won’t be using them at all now

  9. Soggy Prepper says:

riverrider, I can relate to your sentiment. This health tax obamasacare really has bothered me. I’ve actually got teary eyed a couple times because I view this as “it” and done. My DH is more hopeful. Says to wait and it will be repealed. My response was hell will freeze first.

We need a new president AND the Senate and the likelihood of that happening in nov— when hell freezes.

Ann Barnhardts blog assumes that even if Romney gets in it will be argued that it’s so imbedded now it would be too costly to repeal. I’m betting that’s the bs they will dish out.

I asked my DH “whens the revolution”, he was silent.
I’m screaming and fitting mad, also tired and “weary” (I now understand that verse in the Bible). But no one is moving into action.
There is No movement. Will there be in November when TDL gets in again? or do we all go quietly into that good night?

Sorry, I’m disheartened. Puts me in a negative and bad mood.

    • I hear you Soggy Prepper. It’s been real hard here too! I’m fighting mad and just don’t know where to send the energy. All my phone calls, emails, faxes, letters, marches, etc. did NOTHING…I’m really mad and I too am worn down and weary.

Right now all I can do is save some of my prep $ and give to the front runner. Pester those in my family who voted for TDL and then vote myself. Today I feel as if it will not be enough but right now it’s all I’ve got. Maybe come November I’ll direct my anger to knocking on doors to try to generate more ‘any body but obama’ votes. Living on the left coast it’s real easy to feel zombies are breaking in my door. Oregon needs to kick out all these stupid liberal rep’s we have.

Hang in there it’s got to get better!

    • riverrider says:

soggy, i am encouraged by the NRA and tea party. i’m told it takes time for the groundswell to arrive. try to stay positive. remember, it all started with 3 guys complaining over beers at a tavern in boston, that turned into 9, that turned into 3%.

    • SurvivorDan says:

After a horrible month for the administration (prior to the SCOTUS debacle) the PREZ was still leading in the polls!
WTF!!!!! God damn Sheeple!!! I feel a little better……

  10. Soggy Prepper says:

    OH! M.D.,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! For going back to the old system! I love how it looks in my email, I love that it links directly to the comment I want to comment on. I love it that it is familiar.

  11. Anybody heard of Romneycare in Massechusettes? Not much difference between one socialist and another. Jeff

    • SurvivorDan says:

Yeah they all s**k and are entirely self-serving. But, Romney and company may just slightly slow the Collapse.

  12. village idiot says:

True, jeff, but that crapbag in the WH needs to go. I’ll give Romney a chance, not that I’m feeling too enthusiastic about him. Change every time until we get someone with some sense in there. I doubt Romney will be able to overcome the voter fraud anyway.

  13. Cold Warrior says:

Hi, I’m Cold Warrioe and I’m a freedom Love’n mean old bastard, prepoholic!

I have only one comment: “Hang John Roberts from a sour apple tree!”

  14. I don’t know what we’re going to do now! Nobody will be able to contact customer service any where! There is flooding in northern India!

    • If we lose customer service, the end is near! No, wait — that happened about 15 years ago….

      • worrisome says:

Sounds like there is flooding and storms around DC, there is also massive power outages……gee, does this mean that with the power out, the white house will go dark and we won’t have to listen to No Nutz flap his jaws for a couple of days?????????

    • MSgt,
      Buahaaahaaaa! Too funny.
I always ask for someone who speaks English as their first language.I get silence and put on hold so they can transfer me BACK across the planet. What a waste of time.
