Friday Miscellany

1. I’m worried about a crisis bigger than 2008 : “I don’t think the economy is recovering at all. The 2008 financial crisis could be just a precursor to a more severe economic fallout on the horizon, closely followed contrarian investor Marc Faber told CNBC on Thursday.”

2. FBI investigating Bundy supporters in BLM dispute : “It is one thing for Cliven Bundy and his supporters to square off against an assortment of Bureau of Land Management employees. It is quite another when the FBI enters the picture, and that is exactly what has happened.” Look for them to examine everyone’s past calls, texts, GPS data, banking information, property, email traffic etc that has taken place over the past several years. All without a legal warrant or the due process of law.”

3. Congressman: Power Grid ‘Entirely Vulnerable’ to EMP Attack : “Some would say it’s low probability, but the damage that could be caused in the event of an EMP attack, both by the sun, a solar event, or a man-made attack, would be catastrophic,” said Rep. Michael McCaul (R., Texas). “We talk a lot about a nuclear bomb in Manhattan, and cybersecurity threat to the power grid in the Northeast, and all of these things would actually probably pale in comparison to the devastation that an EMP attack could perpetrate on Americans.”

4. Cops gone stupid – Miami Police Shooting Frenzy Revealed: 377 Shots Fired By 23 Cops At 2 Men In Car : The two unarmed men inside the car survived an initial volley of gunfire, according to witnesses, who said they could see the men moving inside the Volvo. Everything went quiet for nearly two minutes before the officers opened up a second time – unleashing an unrelenting torrent of bullets that lasted almost 25 seconds. By the time it was over, the two men inside the car were dead and 377 shots had been fired by police.

5. What is this mysterious aircraft filmed ‘blitzing Taliban base in Afghanistan’? : “Footage shows ‘UFO’ blasting terrorists’ encampment.” I’ve seen this type of aircraft on one of those UFO TV shows – if I remember correctly one of the guys (Gary McKinnon) being interviewed claimed to have hacked into NASA servers, where he had seen top secret info revealing that the U.S. has a secret “space fleet”, I don’t know how true his story is but the craft in the video from Afghanistan looks exactly like what he claimed he saw on those secret files.

6. Controlling the internet and free speech : FEC chair warns that conservative media like Drudge Report and Sean Hannity face regulation — like PACs : Folks what this means is that government entities can shutdown any form of media that they do not agree with.

7. US household debt nearly twice as high as annual wages and salaries : Inflating the consumer debt bubble with student loans and auto debt : “The latest consumer credit report surprised to the upside. What was the surprise? Americans are back to borrowing money they don’t have. Are they borrowing for investing or possibly purchasing a modest home? No. The latest data shows that Americans are once again going deep into student debt and auto debt. This is actually worse than borrowing for a home you can’t afford. A car will begin losing its value seconds after you drive it off the lot. Yet this is where Americans are pouring their money.”

  1. JP in MY says:

#1. Personally, we are doing better, getting back out of debt from 2 years ago (3 months after everything was paid for, back to square one). However, I’m finding fewer and fewer who are. We cut back before we needed to, so as costs have gone up, we have been able to adapt. We have just had to cut back on what we are able to put up.

#2. All those who are surprised, please stand.

#3. It’s starting to go “main stream”!

#4. If my soldiers had shot that poorly, they would have spent the rest of their careers building awesome latrines!

#6. Just shows THEY realize that they are loosing the “Hearts and Minds” without their version of CONTROL.

    • JP in MY,

Regarding # 4 they should not have been shooting at all because according to the report both men were unarmed, in the car and posing no threat.

      • riverrider says:

roger that. i was responsible for every single round. a miss was a report, 3 reports was time off, unpaid. next one was permanent vacay.

      • MD
#4 This was never intended to be a capture. This was an all out execution. The law is much different if you are the LAW. Cops tend to feel they are above mortals and can skip all the normal steps of capture, courts and conviction. Do as I say Not as I do or you know what will happen.

#2 FBI is doing the same thing but on a federal level because mortals are not to question or oppose the Feds for any reason. Eventually this will all end badly when the people being bullied by gangsters in uniform have had enough. This came very close at the Bundy ranch. This upset the Feds enough to want to make sure mortals know who the boss is and put down any future uprising. My guess is they are about to be in over their heads when they try it again.

  2. Dan Bauler says:

In 2008 I was outraged that a center/right country like the U.S. was duped into electing a Marxist as President.
By 2010 I was ready to go to war, along with the TEA Party, to protect and defend the Constitution
By 2011 I became dis-hearted by the entire political process, as it was obvious that Mitt would/could not defeat Barry at the polls.
By 2012 I was flabbergasted by John Roberts ruling on Obamacare and wondered where the “anger” was from my fellow citizens

It’s now 2014 and after reading this blog (and others) I’m frightened. I’m frightened because to me it is obvious that we are under God’s judgment.

Like Israel in the time of the Prophets, I don’t believe that there is any escape for the U.S.

    I’m frightened

    • Dan Bauler

You may be interested in a NY times best seller, if you have not already read it. ( The Harbinger, by Jonathan Cahn ) This lays out how closely the US has paralleled Israel before God brought judgment down. It is absolutely amazing how our response to warnings have been the same as theirs, right down to quoting scripture that was intended to be a confirmation of judgment from God on Israel.

    • LittleAnniePrepper says:

Yes, I agree, there is no escape for the US. As my husband says, there is no escaping from God’s judgement. We prep, but we also realize we can’t move out into the middle of nowhere, be totally self sufficient and very well may die when all this happens. We don’t care as much about ourselves, but we have 2 teenagers. Makes all the difference in the world.

      • PhotonGuy says:

Teenagers should be taught not only to take care of themselves, but also to help take care of others in a crisis situation. They are at that age where they can and should help out. Teenagers should have the knowledge and capability to survive on their own if they have to. When I was 13 I was a Star Scout and I had some merit badges that were about survival, namely Wilderness Survival, Camping, and Safety.

        A scout is helpful.
        A scout is brave.
        !!!BE PREPARED!!!

        • dan b.,
of course we are under God’s judgement.
          how could it be otherwise?
nations are punished in the here and now since they won’t exist in the hereafter, at least not as we know them.
individuals are usually punished or rewarded in the hereafter.
the Psalmist says that God makes a way of escape so that the fowler’s net may be eluded.
some of us will be handed over to stand before kings and give witness and then handed over to the torturers.
i’m going to try to avoid the torturers and hide my family if possible. i hope God makes a way of escape for us.

praying and fasting and listening for the ‘still, small voice’ are priorities above water saving, gardening, et cetera.
          pray while prepping.

  3. Donna in MN says:

Any recovery being very small is wiped out by the mounting debt people have more than acquired by 2008, and our national debt. We have not recovered.

By an example of the gov’t, is similar to a person owing $100,000 in personal debt and cannot pay does not recover economically by borrowing $150,000 to pay off the first debt and spending $50,000 he borrowed that he could not afford to pay on his own in the first place. This is a joke.

The IRS is going after people who donated to tea party and conservitive non profit groups with audits. There is no action taken against those who donate to demoncrat non profit groups. This is what happens when illegal acts are not punished…Déjà vu

Shutting down free speech is shutting down our constitution and going to facism. This action will be the start of the shtf.

That aircraft is our latest fighter plane or drone. Duh!

    • Rob Crawford says:

I think I saw that “documentary” too — Stargate SG-1.

Uneducated guess — a rigid airship armed something like the AC-130 gunships.

      • Rob Crawford,

I never said it was “from outer space” but if it (the video) is real then it is most likely some type of classified U.S. Military aircraft or drone.

        • Our own galaxy contains approximately 2 billion stars. Galaxys are organized into clusters billions strong. Those clusters are organized into strings containing billions of clusters.

Statistically speaking, life elsewhere (intelligent or not) is a certainty.

Do any of them have the technology to come here? Maybe. Do they? Who knows.

  4. GoneWithTheWind says:

“I don’t believe that there is any escape for the U.S. “.
I second that. What our government is doing is borrowing and printing money to keep up the facade of “good times”. Of course the borrowing and printing is makng it all worse. They are like heroin addicts now and cannot stop the borrowing and printing if they wanted to. Each politician and high level bureaucrat is hoping this house of cards falls after they are out of office or gone. I would bet good money that most left wing politicians have an exit plan. A home in Ireland or a ranch in Wyoming, some place they can disappear to after the mess they made comes crashing down. We are toast all we are waiting for now is for the toaster to pop up.

  5. Rider of Rohan says:

I had some comments I wanted to make, but after reading Dan’s and Donna’s comments realized they pretty much said it all. Thanks to the both of you.

Ok, I did want to say one more thing. I’m doubling down on Dan’s comment about us being under God’s judgment. That’s a fact. God will only tolerate evil for so long, as he demonstrated to His people in Israel many times. We can’t count on it being the end times just because the US is being brought to God’s judgment.

    • Dan Bauler says:

      Rider my dear friend,
You’re right, Donna is one of the most intelligent people on this blog. I think that it must be all of that clean MN air and water she gets !

I know that in Dispensational Theology they teach of a 7 year (pre-trib) end times period, but frankly like most of what they teach, up until 150 ago no Theologian had heard of such teachings, including Calvin, Luther, or Augustine. Plus they interpret passages totally out of context as well.

In classic, 2,000 year old Christian Theology, also called Reformed Theology, which is what I was schooled in, the “End Times” started the day Christ left the Church to ” Occupy until He comes again”.

History, I believe bears this view out. Example, Tamerlane, the Muslim Tyrant killed 7-10% of the entire World’s population before his terror was stopped. Now that’s “End Times”!

My worry is this, I fear that when there is no 7 year period and a “rapture” does not occur, many who have been sold this false theology will fall away.

      In all due respect, Dan

      • Dan Bauler

You are wrong about Dispensational Theology being a false doctrine. This doctrine goes back to Daniels prophecy under Nebuchadnezzar of the end times as it relates to the Jews. I thought about trying to explain it here but the doctrine is quite involved and I am not a theologian. However, if you are interested in a deeper understanding, (It is all supported very well by the bible and not taken out of context) try this link. ( )

This site is just one of many that expound on the doctrine of pre-tribulation. I believe this to be accurate but you are free to believe anything you want. Mat 24:3 – 51

        In all due respect, Harry

        • Dan Bauler says:

As you admit, you are not a theologian, but I am.

Seminary students from most of the major Dispensational schools are now 2/3 Reformed vs 1/3 Dispensational. The “big” money making ministries are losing $$$ and people to the classic Christian faith and thus they are making up crap like “Dispensational Theology goes back to the Book of Daniel”.

The problem is, the average Christian has no way of knowing the truth, because they believe what ever the guy up front on Sundays says is true.
Religion is either a life changing relationship with God, or a business. In the case of Dispensational Theology, it is a business, that mostly “lives” in the books of Daniel and Revelation to make profits.

My advice to you is to do some research and maybe read a few books by Dr. R.C. Sproul, J.I. Packer, or Charles Spurgeon on his defense of Calvanism.

          • Dan Bauler

            “making up crap like”
Let’s see, RC Sproul, Calvanism, now I know where your’e coming from. You believe it is possible to fall from grace after being saved. I believe that is what you call a “holier than thou attitude” . I live by faith Dan not by works. My salvation is not subject to theologians that try to deny that salvation is by faith alone. If it were any other way no one could be saved. The only sinless man to have ever lived was Jesus Christ and as you recall, they crucified him. That’s important Dan. You see I don’t worry I will lose my salvation because I missed the mark one day. I know that is not a license to sin but being an imperfect human being it happens to me, you and even to people like RC Sproul and the like. I know when I sin and confess it and turn from it, I am forgiven just like the bible says. I didn’t ask for advice but as long as you were so kind to give me some, I have some for you. You might want to re-think your salvation and look at it from a faith perspective. I question your ability to hang onto salvation unless you have mastered the art of being sinless. There are a lot of credentialed Theologians. Many of them are false teachers. You do have credentials, right?

            • Shades of Green says:

I hate to burst bubbles here but the “bible” can only be looked at as a very loose form of history and possible guide for daily living. It was written by men , translated by many, and hand sections removed or omitted by religions and governments , so where it came from to what it is today could and more than likely is totally different than what it really was. None of us were there so we cannot say that what is written is so. I personally don’t believe god would give you free will then turn around and get mad and smite you from the world because he didn’t like what you did. It is a huge contradiction. Also, if you live by the bible then the new book negates the old per Jesus’s words. I believe that Jesus the man, had it figured out that we are indeed all like God and can do the things he does to a degree because we are actually God expressing himself through each one of us.

  6. tommy2rs says:

    1. Well, Duh Faber!

    2. The hammer is fixing to come down on the nail that stuck up for Bundy. In typical Feeb fashion they’ll find a reason to kill them all.

    3. And it’s been that way for generations Congressman. About time you noticed.

    4. ““The policemen that had on the black and white vests were out there laughing like it was so funny,” said one of the neighbors, “because they got a free shot off them people.” Typical cop thuggery with no thought given to the safety of the public or even their fellow officers after they appointed themselves judge, jury and executioners. “By 5 am every cop in South Florida was looking for that blue Volvo – intent on catching the man who had shot one of their own.” Like cops are anything special.

    5. Seriously? Fuzzy grainy supposed UFO pictures from a UK tabloid rag? What’s next? Demon baby born in New Jersey, Hillary Clinton’s face miraculously appears on a piece of toast? Is this the Weekly World News?

    6. Silencing the opposition. Anyone surprised at this? Ready to start the shooting yet? Or do we sit complacently with our hands folded until the roundups start and go meekly to our internments?

    7. Ah the sheeple are back to shearing themselves.

  7. riverrider says:

cop in texas just got “recommended for firing” after he shot a 93 y/o homeowner who called in about an intuder. same thing happened here, no charges,no firing.

    • Rider of Rohan says:

Good to see you posting, friend. I do hope things are getting back to some semblance of normal your way. I know it will never be the same again, especially after a young life is lost. Been thinking about yall and praying for you all week.

      • riverrider says:

i’m okay brother. i fear the full extent has yet to hit the dw, but we’ll drive on. like i said, i take solace in that he won’t have to deal with whats coming. i thank you for your concern. ah i so wish we could have a wolfpack ftx or something to put faces to all of you great people! that’s one event i would move heaven n earth to attend.

  8. Exile1981 says:

#6 – the problem is the current FEC chair has to step down this fall once his term is up, the WH will appoint a radical to the position and all the financial and free speech rules will be changed by the FEC just in time for the 2016 elections.

    • Rider of Rohan says:

Yep, they have their voter fraud teams already set up in the contested states they need to win, such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Nevada, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. And they don’t need to win them all, just a few key ones and Hillary is in. If the Senate doesn’t make a radical shift in 2014, it’s all over for the US.

      • riverrider says:

it’s all over but the shootin’ as we say ’round here. we can’t vote our way out of this one.

    2. Why is this a surprise?
    3. The grid is vulnerable to a whole bunch of stuff… and the straw will be?
    4. Newfoundland had 3 murders in 2013 for the whole Province… think I’ll just stay home…
    5. Drones on the Minnesota-Ontario border deliver beer to fishermen… much better usage.
    6. Nothing is free… there is always a price and freedom of speech lasts only as long as is convenient for those in charge.
    7. Debt is what is driving us into the ground. People buying stuff they can’t afford and often don’t use more than once. We operate on zero debt. No credit cards. If we can’t pay cash in full, we don’t buy.
    Have a great weekend all.

  12. #5. Is a fake. Google it and you’ll see other prepper sites that acknowledge it as a fake. Still interesting . Yes, I think there’s plenty of advanced technology out there we don’t know about.
