Friday Miscellany

1. World Bank sounds alarm on rising global food prices : “World food prices rose in the first quarter of the year for the first time since their all-time high in August 2012, driven by rising demand in China, drought in the United States and unrest in Ukraine. According to the World Bank, internationally traded food prices increased by a sharp 4.0 percent. The leap was led by wheat and maize, up 18 percent and 12 percent, respectively.”

2. Martial Law Feasibility Study for the ‘Homeland Security Society’ : “Seventy-two percent of Americans, in a Gallop poll say big government is a greater threat to the U.S. in the future than is big business or big labor, a record high in the nearly 50-year history of this question. Yet the “so called” authorities would have you accept that only a conspiracy theorist thinks that the great protectors of law and order are capable of routing out Christians, 2nd Amendments advocates, ’911 Truth’ proponents, Tea Party members, Patriot-Liberty groups or ‘Global Warming deniers’, and confining them to prison gulags (bear in mind, it wouldn’t be the first time in history this has happened by government). So when the House introduced HR 645, in 2009 that directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers on military installations, every citizen should feel threatened by its own government.”

3. Wahington Times – “Inside the Ring: Memo outlines Obama’s plan to use the military against citizens : A 2010 Pentagon directive on military support to civilian authorities details what critics say is a troubling policy that envisions the Obama administration’s potential use of military force against Americans.”

4. After publishing my recent article “Is the United States Government Preparing for War Against The American People?“, my email inbox was filled with emails from folks, telling me that I was stupid and a nutcase for even thinking that the federal government was preparing for something like that… well, all I can say is… I told you so.

5. The Theft of Your Retirement Accounts Will Accompany the Seizure of Bank Accounts : “Today, a dollar purchases 3% of what it did just over a century ago. The 97% went into the pockets of the banksters. The banksters have been working diligently for quite some time to separate you from your money.”

6. U.S. Gold Holdings Close to Zero : All the countries holding vast amounts of U.S dollars in their reserve accounts . . . think many of them think those dollars, in the end, are not going to be worth anything. What about America’s gold? Is it still in Fort Knox? Financial analyst Rob Kirby says, “I don’t believe America possesses any substantial amount of gold. America claims to have sovereign holdings of just over 8,000 metric tons. I believe that number is grossly inflated, and it might be close to zero.”

7. The Great Deception in the American Church : “America has the highest percentage of single-parent families in the industrialized world, the highest abortion rate, the highest rate of sexually transmitted diseases, the highest rate of teenage birth by far, the highest rate of teenage drug use and the largest prison population per capita than any country in the world.”

  1. If this is all true, and I’m saying if, then things are going to become a lot tougher.

  2. Old USAF Nurse says:

Sometimes one can scarcely believe how fast we have gotten to this point. Good job, M.D.

  3. Contrarian says:

We see reality, know the truth. We are not the problem. We are the ones who will survive to rebuild.

  5. tommy2rs says:

And if all of the above aren’t bad enough:

New federal database will track Americans’ credit ratings, other financial information

Just a few of the highlights (or should it be low lights):
The Federal Housing Finance Agency and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau posted an April 16 Federal Register notice of an expansion of their joint National Mortgage Database Program to include personally identifiable information that reveals actual users, a reversal of previously stated policy.

In a May 15 letter to FHFA Director Mel Watt and CFPB Director Richard Cordray, Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, and Sen. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, charged, “this expansion represents an unwarranted intrusion into the private lives of ordinary Americans.”

In a May 16 letter to FHFA, NAFCU’s regulatory affairs counsel, Angela Meyster, said the database “harbors significant privacy concerns” and “NAFCU believes greater transparency should be provided by the FHFA and CFPB on what this information is being used for.”

“Congress did not explicitly require (or even explicitly authorize) the FHFA to build anything resembling the NMD,” the Chamber told Watt in its May 16 letter.

Cordray in his testimony told the House, “We’re making every effort to be very careful” but he could not promise there would never be a data breach.

Neugebauer said the hacker threat is real. “If someone were to breach that system, they could very easily steal somebody’s identity.”

Meyster said she doubts the government can protect the data. “We’re essentially concerned that these government systems don’t have the necessary precautions to make sure that individual consumers are identified through the database,” she said.

Computerized theft of government and commercial data is a major concern for federal officials. Indictments were made public last week for five Chinese military members who allegedly hacked into the computer systems of six American corporations.

  6. 2. The FEMA camps can house 15 million people – about 5% of American citizens. Wonder how many of us survivalists will end up in one b/c of our beliefs, taking certain meds, or having too many guns, or too much food/water stockpiled?

    • …or religious conservatives who speak out against gay marriage? Seems like most who come out against anything PC get blacklisted.

      • the devil is mighty gleeful these days.
at last his plans seem to be at the point of bearing fruit, after all these generations of effort.
and he has no lack of manpower. millions are serving his will, many without knowing it.
        who’d a thunk it?

  7. #6 — Gee, and Germany couldn’t get its gold out of the NYC vaults because why? Hmm, we only have a few years to replace it.

  8. JP in MT says:

  9. JP in MT says:

I have been called several “not so nice things” over the last few years. I have noticed a distinct decline in the number of people who just “write me off”. Also seems the number of people asking me questions is increasing.

I wonder why? Could it be the only thing off was my timing?

    • Worrisome says:

Waking up early doesn’t mean your timing was off. Just means that you have a little more wisdom

  10. riverrider says:

did anyone else catch mr. snowden on tv the other night? big interview, but silence afterward from the peanut gallery. he hit it on the head, and i thought it would be all over the press..”sometimes what’s RIGHT isn’t what’s LEGAL”. …..bueler? bueler? has anybody seen bueler? he answered every question with intelligence and poise. he’s a patriot in my book. as to the headlines today, well they say obummer considered sending .mil to the bundy ranch. all i can say is…bring ’em. but be prepared to face their guns pointed back at you.

  11. Nebraska Woman says:

    1. That is exactly why we prep.
    6. Remember Rand Paul tried to get into the gold vault and could not? I knew then that the gold was gone.
    7. Freedom can only last when we have moral people (my morality is based on the Bible). When churches accept aberrant behavior as normal, clergy who preach the truth are vilified, and we watch that crap on TV/internet/etc., we really are sunk.

  12. Goatlover says:

This link was posted in the comments section of #6 above. Anyone know who this guy is??? I’d like to send him an “Attaboy” card! Poor guy will probably turn up dead before the card arrives though……

  13. Hunker-Down says:

    #2-3-4. Martial law…Fema camps…
How many military generals did TDL destroy to grease the skids?

#5. Link is broken. NSA at work???

#6. No gold…No audit of the fed. Why, why, why doesn’t the MSM see, smell, hear a smoking gun?

#7. The American Church; It is politically correct to avoid using the word “sin”. The MSM does not allow a discussion on satan. Gee, does that mean there is no Hell?
My spellchecker wants to capitalize “satan”, but I refuse to. Is my spellchecker owned by him or by the MSM? Is there a difference?

  14. D in MN says:

There was a correction (or someone found the gov’t lied again) that the GNP was not the 1/10th of 1% growth they reported but a whole negative 1%. That is the start of another recession.

I found most churches I visited teach false doctrine. This is an epidemic. I read the Bible as inspiration and belong to no church. I wonder if I hadn’t taken my Bible to pack in the truck to evacuate and hadn’t said a prayer when the forest fire headed my way, would the wind have changed suddenly to blow it to the lake? Either way, I learned what was most valuable-God.

    • Actually, to be called a recession, GNP has to decline (or contract/shrink) for 2 consecutive qtr’s. & it’s common for estimates to be off.

  15. #5 -on bank acct’s being seized… If it’s like the Cyprus govt’s grab a year ago, acct’s under a certain amount, would not be taxed. & that would fit w/ the taxing policies of a certain US political party & most in general. Everyone wants to tax the rich more.
So those of us w/ a relative small amount in bank acct’s, may not lose anything. The big question is retirement acct’s, & US govt may go for those too. How ever they do it, it’ll be worded in neutral or vague terms & sold as a one time deal.
