M.D. I about choked on my tea this morn when I picked up a small local
paper and saw the whole page was covered in a HARD TIMES headline.
I guess even they finally had to quit lying about how great the local economy is doing.

We hear the feds saying one thing yet we are seeing something different, could it be they are lying to us? Would they do that?
As to Obama calling African-Americans a “mongrel people” Where is the liberal outcry? Imagine it was Rush, Beck, Hannity or another conservative that said this.
Good point on .45 stopping power there is no magic bullet only skill counts.

I am in Mish’s camp. He has been correct so far, and likely will continue to be correct for some time. The most likely (not certain) effect of all these defaults and unemployment will be continued deflation. To the extant that the US is disproportionately affected, it will simply have deeper deflation than others. So Oil will be less expensive, but more expensive relative to what money people have on hand.
During the Depression one of the biggest problems for farmers is that their crops no longer brought in as much money, so they would loss their land because they could not pay the taxes on it. Debt will also get more expensive as time goes on. This alone is a reason to avoid debt and keep some saved cash on hand. The strategy of spending it all now, because tomorrow it will be worthless can kill you in the wrong scenerio.
In deflationary times, cash is King.
The real problem is we have evolved into a consumer based economy & manufacture very little. What we do manfacture supports those consumer based companies – it’s a no win loop.
Commercial real estate is the new gas for our default fire. Why? Consumers curbed spending because of job loss or underemployment. We will see as much commercial defaults as home defaults.
We need leadership that can begin to create real jobs and bring the pride back to America. Obama is neither a leader or an American.
It is all about shot placement. An nut with a .22 pistol almost killed the President over 25 years ago. A .22 to the head or through the heart will kill you just as quick as a .45. When using handguns you should never get in the mindset of one shot one kill (see this with people who carry .45s), it should be bang, bang, bang, and more bang bang until the threat has been removed. Also only hits count. This is not even up for debate!
3rdman, Exactly! Range instructor wisdom “no amount of misses equals a hit”. When being crossexamined on the stand by the DA the question was asked ” why did you shoot him 12 times”? The plantiffs answer was simple and to the point ” because 11 was not enough, and 13 would have been to many”.
Things are starting to pick up. AZ 1070 just happens to go into effect the same time as the restrictions for ccw are removed in that state, with the growing protests it could amount to a perfect storm resulting in violence which will then increase with each proceeding incident.
Protests againts the bill have started in many major cities being led by paid protesters/agatators.
The media continues to press the questions, framed by the collectivists, that don’t matter and insists on answers, from those who seek liberty, intentionally diverting time from the true issues.
True racisim is ignored ( when it comes from a protected class) but leads in the nightly news when its just a rumor surrounding someone in the freedom camp. When it is so blatant from a member of the protected class, that it can’t be ignored the media goes into overdrive to vilify those who expose it.

The enemies of freedom are becoming more and better defined. There is not a defined skin tone or religious belief or sexual preferance or gender, rather the mind set that will identify them as the enemy of freedom.
