Probably such a modification would trigger the moronic 922r law. Also, it would be of doubtful reliability anyhow. But it sure would be fun. ;-)

Very accurate rifle, inexpensive cartridge, highly effective at long ranges, and now, Timney in now making an adjustable trigger (http://timneytriggers.com/sunshop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=50)for it. I had an M91/30 custom modified and now its like shooting a 243 winchester rifle; but alot cheaper.

greetings. and much of the surplus ammo offered now is silver nose which means that it has a steel core in it.

greetings. note that the hex receiver on the older production models is considered superior for accuracy. they were made before world war 2 and not wartime production
