Perhaps a little more discussion on non-firearms tools…IE:more on types of knives, home made spears, knives etc, and trapping, perhaps even an atricle or two on air guns and slingshots. Enjoy reading your blog and have picked up numerous ideas for when the SHTF situations.

Thanks again MD for a great blog and reminding us of our obligations when posting. On another post you reminded us that we should be civil and respectful….if only our politicians and governments could do the same. Great advice.
this is just a letter on my thoughts and prepping. Because of my age and lack of ability after severly injuring my right elbow I am scaling back on a lot of my prepping, thinking that in a couple years I will be in a nursing home, the one that I retired from.
That made me think more. Do you know that most nursing homes are only reqired to have three days worth of food, watter and supplies on hand in case of an emergancy? Unless it has changed in the past two years and I am not aware of the changes.
Nursing and retirement homes will be very vulnerable if a black cloud hangs overhead. The nursing home where I worked had an older gentelman as a night guard and he was not alowed to carry a gun. The home has multiple doors, large glass windows and scalable balconies. It is run by aging nuns who could not defend themselves let alone the defensless elderly. Nursing homes, retirment home and villages would be easy pickings after the initial looting of stores and warehouse.
Anyone with mothers, fathers, faimily members or loved ones should keep this in mind if they need to vacate or relocate. It would be nice if some nurses, doctors or administratores were to write in and get famlies up to speed on this. Everyone mentions their pets and how they can’ leave them behind, but who is gonna go get Grandma and Granpa and make sure they are safe and sound?? MEB
and why not MD? Its your blog, your rules and you are ultimately responsible for how it looks & how readers accept it.
Those who submit to TSB for publication should allow it to become your property – it’s clear and there’s nothing wrong with that in my opinion.
Now … if only I could think of something worthwhile to say …
Jason,
Thany you – I’m sure you have plenty to say you just need to let it out. I can’t figure out why some people (2) would complain about my guest posting policy especially when they had no intention of contributing in any way. I mean eveything was / is up front no one is being cheated or misinformed.
I guess some people are just that way, you know the type who try to make something bad from nothing to make themselves feel better. Good thing people like that don’t matter – real readers like you do.
Mr. Creekmore don’t worry about such small people the obviously have other deep rooted problems. They are sad.
