Experts Weigh In On The Jobs Report Conspiracy? : “Well, isn’t that convenient? The Obama campaign desperately needed the last employment report to be released before the election to show that the unemployment rate had fallen below 8 percent, and somehow it magically happened.”

The Largest Economy In The World Is Imploding Right In Front Of Our Eyes : “A devastating economic depression is rapidly spreading across the largest economy in the world. Unemployment is skyrocketing, money is being pulled out of the banks at an astounding rate, bad debts are everywhere and economic activity is slowing down month after month. So who am I talking about? Not the United States – the economy that I am talking about has a GDP that is more than two trillion dollars larger. It is not China either – the economy that I am talking about is more than twice the size of China. You have probably guessed it by now – the largest economy in the world is the EU economy.” Thanks to Michael G for the link.

Police: “Enter Detroit At Your Own Risk” : “If you plan on visiting Detroit any time soon, the police have a message for you: “Enter Detroit at your own risk”. That ominous message was actually emblazoned across the top of a flyer that the Detroit Police Officer Association was passing out prior to a rally on Saturday. The flyer pointed out that Detroit is the most violent city in the nation and that more homicides are committed in Detroit than anywhere else. Meanwhile, the number of police officers in Detroit has been steadily decreasing.”

“Enter Detroit at your own risk” – not at all surprising.

The demise of Detroit began in the 1970’s when the Big 3 automakers began winding down operations, with intent of moving them “elsewhere” (mostly to China). The Muslims jumped on the opportunity to buy up American real estate that no one else wanted, and established their first “stronghold” in the U.S.A. It was a major coup for them.

From Detroit, they have been steadily “spreading out”.

In the past few years, we have witnessed numerous attempts at “sneaking in” Sharia law in Detroit and Lansing, MI, Muslim judges appointed who have been at the center of these efforts..and so far, they don’t seem to have achieved much success…but that will change.

For those of you who want to defend the “U.S. Muslims” as peaceful people, I believe you are greatly deceived. They did not come here to integrate into American society; they came here to take over and make this nation a Muslim nation. The young men came in the 70’s when our gubment started tossing money at “internationals” to make our public universities more “diverse” and more “competitive in the world market”. These Arab men took advantage of a law that made them instant citizens if they married an American, and, young American women, being the romanticists, were easily fooled. I know. I was there when they did it. In my working lifetime, I have worked for three major universities: 2 private, one public, all of them “household names”.

Now, the Qu’ran forbids a Muslim to marry a non-Muslim, EXCEPT, if it is to “overcome the infidel”. Every rule can be broken, any lie told, murder can be committed, whatever it takes…with an absolutely clear conscience and the promise of 7 virgins for anyone (male) who does “whatever it takes to overcome the infidel”. That’s anybody who is not a Muslim. You can read it for yourself in the Qu’ran. It’s in there – many times.

They will “rise up”; they will have no choice; they will do soon when they are ordered to do so – and it is not long in coming. When that day comes, you will either join them or die, according to their understanding of how the world is supposed to work.

London, England has the largest per capita population of any Non-Muslim City.

France has the largest population of Muslims in the military; that nation is already “gone”. Lest we gloat, we are not that far behind, if things continue at the present rate, and the present “leadership” continues to destroy this nation from within (he’s part of the plan).

By the way, I didn’t make this up. It’s in the Word of Holy G-d.

Detroit was the first city to have these problems, The Twin Cities in Minnesota is the next on their list. Huge muslim population, with whole suburbs going over to them. Within 5 miles of my home I have a full blown madrasa (spelling?) where only muslim childern are allowed to attend and Sharia is taught in total.

The deal is a muslim man marries one woman in a regular civil union. He then marries 3 more women in a muslim union in secret. Of course he has kids by all 4 women, and the whole family lives off the welfare checks, snap payments, and wic money the three “unmarried” woman provide.

Which is O.K. for the likes of our New Commie (D) party, as they all vote for guys like Al Franken and our muslim President.

Oh, to make things worse, our Gov. and Sec. of the State are owned by Geo. Soros……..Is Minnesota messed up…. YA, you bet’ya!

You have a great blog with great information and a huge and helpful community. Thank you for all you and the Wolf Pack do.

Your blog and books are so much better than the crap put out by that other guy… what was his name again? Something with a comma I think…

After his last book and the reviews on Amazon he seems to be losing the trust of his readers. Oh ya and according to him (on his blog) if you don’t like his book then you’re not a Christian. Give me a break!

    • Cold Warrior says:

I read both Survival Blog and Survivalist Blog on a daily basis. Can you point out to me where Rawles said what you say he said?

    • We need to leave “the other blog guy” alone. If anyone has anything to say about his book please do it on where it belongs. Also if anyone has a beef with him them you should email him directly. The comments section of The Survivalist isn’t the right place to air your complaints.
We have important matters to attend to and this is just a waste of your (and mine) time. Let’s get back to prepping. Thanks.

in the only-cops-should-have-guns arena, its on the wires that a nyc detective shot/killed an unarmed national guardsman who was sitting in his car with both hands on the wheel, witnessed by an off duty cop and another passenger in the car. oops, gun must went off, twice…..wonder what else was in the picture besides weather?… crisis, yep, been saying that awhile. thats what really started the “arab spring” and that is what will kick off the rev part deuce. theres just too many mouths to feed without cheap oil to produce it with.

  5. PreppingMomma5 says:

Speaking of guns, I could use some thoughts please! I went to look at handguns and sadly, the Glocks were out of my price point. I did however look at a few other options and was wondering what people think about them. Specifically the Ruger SR9C and the LC9. From everything I could gather in my research, the former might be a better option for me as it would be my first pistol and I have zero experience at all. It sounded like in general, it was an all-around better gun. The LC9 would be better at C&C but, with the ages of my babies and the fact that I have to carry several at once or many times a day, I don’t believe that at this stage in the game carrying a gun at the same time as children is the safest option. A 380 was mentioned by the guy behind the counter but I am not sure if it was based solely on the fact that I am a woman or not. I thought the 380 was much less powerful and therefore not the best option. Any thoughts for me? Any other good options?

    • Might look at Lima Life’s video on youtube about carrying concealed with a baby. She’s got a decent series of videos from a female perspective according to The Boss.

    • recoveringidiot says:

If you can find a range that rents guns you can try live fire with the ones you are interested in. Also ask if they have NRA instruction classes, they are well worth the minimal cost for a new firearm owner.

    • Prepping Momma,

A year and a half ago I was asking the same questions. I took a basic gun safety class. Most gun ranges also have classes where you get to fire a bunch of different guns to see what works for you and what doesn’t. I recommend that you call up the gun ranges in your area and see what kinds of classes are available. I took a women’s only class that was taught by a woman. Now I have my own Glock and a .22 rifle. I am capable of defending myself and my family.

    • I have owned and fired the SR9. I would recommend it for someone who was looking at a GLOCK but wants something a little less expensive as far as the gun goes.

Here’s something to consider when buying a pistol for what most here are buying them for: consider the entire package price. Glock’s are more expensive than guns like the SR9/40. But spare magazines are $21 vs. $40 each. Quality holsters can be had for $25 but will cost you $40+ for the Ruger and your selection is limited. Accessories, parts, and magazines are readily available for the Glock, not so for the Ruger.

So a Glock 19 w/10 mags (8 spare),and a Blackhawk Serpa Sportman holster will run about $700-725. Something similar for the Ruger would run $725-750. So the more accessories you end up with (especially magazines) the more cost effective the Glock becomes.

      • SurvivorDan says:

A Glock is one of the most user friendly semi-autos that anyone can learn to completely assemble, disassemble (and with only a single punch or nail), change the sights, replace any part, diagnose, etc. in a single afternoon.
9mm 33 RD Glock extended mags are about $40.
        Cost effective.
        User friendly.
        Abuse resistant.
Carried one on duty for 11 years.
        What’s not to like?

    • SurvivorDan says:

Oh I don’t know…..I’d really hate to be shot by an ‘anemic’ 380. Yikes!
Carried a Walther PPK/S 380ACP for several years. Never felt like I was unarmed.
I was shot at contact range by an idiot with an even smaller caliber handgun back in the 70’s. Knocked me down. it was effective from the bad guys viewpoint. I didn’t like it.

A convenient ‘small’ caliber weapon readily at hand on one’s person is better than a .45 in the glove box. 😉

  6. “Houston Man Receives Visit from FBI after Photographing Weather”…the comments say even more. Big Bro is alive and well folks. I guess there will be an underground for Grandma’s kitchen gadgets now.

“Your right to resell your own stuff is in peril”…and all because someone got a tad greedy. !+ mil for re-selling text books? And of course this is just another example of ‘all’ suffering because of ‘one’ person’s actions, like the underwear bomber (scanners) and the shoe bomber (taking shoes off in airports). Bleech.

    • Well duh…the “underground” comment was meant for below the “can’t resell” comment. Sheez….

  7. Uncle Charlie says:

The secret government laser that instantly knows everything about you. Well thank God it’s about time. I’ve been ex-rayed, CAT and PET scanned so many times so many time that I glow in the dark and the docs still don’t know everything about me. I hope they bring it out soon, because I’m scheduled for a colonoscopy and I just as soon skip it. What a boon for mankind!!!

About the right to sell personal property. most of grandmother’s furniture is not patented so there shouldn’t be a problem there. This would be extremely hard to enforce on the local level between individuals and even famous stolen art and jewels are apparently sold all the time on the black market. I won’t lose any sleep over it especially since that new government laser scan will spot all my problems at a distance. We need legislation to ensure that our doctors are copied with all information and if they catch me in an illicit affair (highly unlikely but I can always wish), I definitely want copies myself.

  9. Cant sell your own stuff ? that will work as well as prohibition did , good luck enforcing that BS.

EU imploding ? its funny that they keep bailing out greece and making demands of them to save face . They are now in a position to demand NOTHING , and simply just hand over the cash or THEY will be pulled under right behind them . If the greeks were smart , they would remind them of that little factoid and say ‘ we have done what we can , no more cuts ” . When you hear the word Frankenstein , you think only of the monster ………….not the name of its creator .

    • Homeinsteader says:

TR, I think you are right, and I like the idea! (of having a prohibition-style “coming together” of people who want to barter, trade, or sell “stuff” – driven by the same foolish gubment regulation attempts that drove prohibition…such might very well help develop a network more quickly and more effectively than without the “prohibition”!

      • Your right , and what they dont get is all they do is drive things underground or make people find a work around . Its stupid . Remember all the flap about the peer to peer file sharing ? well they shut down a few application providers such as limewire , etc . ….did they stop it ? hell no ! nothing changed .Then you throw in other countries that they cant touch …….like Russia , they have a site called …….you can search and download music for free ….( you do need to use google translate to make a search ) or Sweeden with bitorrent sites . This is about greed …nothing more and 30 years ago would have been thrown out of court .

  10. Tactical G-Ma says:

As far as the Houston photographer getting a visit from the FBI. I say thank you to the individuals who called LE when they observed what could possibly be a terrorist target being scoped out.

People bombs are placed in baby carriages, boxes, ice chests, brief cases, back packs, and on and on, in places all over the world. People, I’m not saying to be paranoid. I am saying be vigilant, be observant. Know your surroundings and if anything is unusual be wary and bring it to the attention of someone who can do something about it.

    • Homeinsteader says:

I hear your point TG-Ma, and, while in spirit I get it, I would probably NOT comply with this suggestion. Why? I did once. Now, every time I fly, I get the full pat-down and get “held” in the little TSA sheep holding fence – why, I never quite know, and asking questions just seems to irritate the TSA folks. I am absolutely certain they are related. I’d think very hard before trying to help the gubment in any way again, and totally understand anyone who is reluctant to “get involved”. Let’s face it – it’s a classic Catch 22!

It’s Fall, Y’all! How ’bout some Pumpkin Cornbread?!!
    1 cup flour
    1 tbsp. Baking Powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 cup dark brown sugar
    1 cup cornmeal
    2 whole eggs
    1 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup olive oil (or coconut oil, if you prefer, as olive oil has a stronger flavor)
    1 tbsp. honey
Pre heat oven to 400 degrees F and grease an 8 x 8″ baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, spices, brown sugar and cornmeal.
In a small bowl, lightly beat the eggs, and then stir in the pumpkin, oil and honey.
Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until combined, and then pour the batter into the pan, smoothing the top as much as possible.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm.
Your pumpkin cornbread will have the consistency of a cake, and it is delicious! Try it with some spiced butter: just whip a stick of sweet cream butter with a bit of pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon, maybe even a tiny of brown sugar, raw honey, molasses, or maple syrup for a gentle sweetness.
