My Thoughts on SurvivalBlog.com

I am a long time reader of your blog, you have some great info posted there. I would like to thank you for all the hard work that you do. I would like to get your thoughts on James Wesley Rawles and his site SurvivalBlog.com . It seems there has been a lot of negative comments on other sites about his blog and I just wanted to get your thoughts and comments on the matter. Thanks Robert in AZ.

M.D.Creekmore responds - Everyone has an opinion and rightly so. It only becomes a problem when people harboring hidden agendas, start a campaign to discredit another for their own gain or amusement. My advice is to pay little attention to negative or harassing comments posted on blogs. It is best to form your own opinion in such matters.

I think James Rawles has a great site. SurvivalBlog.com has a huge reader base and is packed with a wealth of useful information. His post Derivatives is must reading for everyone interested in the current economic condition. Recommended Retreat Areas is packed with a wealth of useful advice for anyone contemplating making the move to safer ground.

My only complaint is with the size of the page, its huge! On dial up a complete download takes upwards of eight minutes or at least this has been my experience. SurvivalBlog.com is very commercialized with a number of ads in the sidebar, this is probably the reason for the slow download speeds.

Overall a great site and recommended from here.
