It was great while it lasted… the signing of the Patriot Act by Republican President George W. Bush on 10-26-2001 and the continuation and strengthening under Democrat President Barack Obama, threw the last shovel of dirt over the remains of the Last free country in the world. Please pray for a peaceful return to core American Constitutional rights and values…
Guns are a hot commodity. Two of America’s largest gun makers are reporting a boost in sales, and the number of handgun permits are also on the rise, climbing 30% to 9 million between 2010 and 2012. But just because gun sales are on the rise, doesn’t mean you should take them everywhere… or does it?
By Michael Snyder, Economic Collapse Blog If you make more than $27,520 a year at your job, you are doing better than half the country is. But you don’t have to take my word for it, you can check out the latest wage statistics from the Social Security administration right here. But of course $27,520 a […]
One of the things that this era of American history will be known for is conspicuous consumption. Even though many of us won’t admit it, the truth is that almost all of us want a nice vehicle and a large home. They say that “everything is bigger in Texas”, but the same could be said for the entire nation as a whole. As you will see below, the size of the average new home has just hit a brand new record high and so has the size of the average auto loan.
In the endless quest to achieve “the American Dream”, Americans are racking up bigger debts than ever before. Unfortunately, our paychecks are not keeping up and the middle class in the United States is steadily shrinking. The disparity between the lifestyle that society tells us that we ought to have and the size of our actual financial resources continues to grow. This is leading to a tremendous amount of frustration among those that can’t afford to buy expensive cars and large homes.
Question for the pack from HuskerCal I’ve been lurking on your website for the last several months & I greatly appreciate the information that you provide. I have an issue I’ve been struggling with & I would love to get some opinions from the wolf pack (I’m not sure if you usually post things like […]
What if the collapse never comes? A reader asked this question in the comments of a recent post . What if we spend all this time and money preparing for a collapse or disaster that never happens. Then what? We’ll have wasted our lives, time and money he says. One example given was Mel Tappan (1933–1980) […]
I’ve heard this so many times – I’ll shoot over an attackers head, shoot under their feet, shoot them in the legs… I’m sure all of you have heard someone say something similar, or you may have even said it yourself…
Wars are almost never what they seem. Most are said to be, though few actually are, about stopping evil dictators, terrorists or liberating oppressed peoples; they are about profit for the government-connected corporations, power for top government officials and growth of governmental control domestically and internationally. This powerful elite persuades others with influence to support war policy for a variety of reasons and benefits. Most recent wars have been about Americans projecting power and control around the Middle East for myriad reasons including resource control and maintaining the petrol dollar. The influential wealthy support the war effort in order to protect the American Federal Reserve system and keep oil priced in dollars.
Questions and Answers with The Wolf Pack : Gold and Silver for Trade – is the average American to dumb to know that it’s worth anything?
Question from Daniel What are your thoughts on gold and silver? I see that you do believe in collecting junk silver, so I was just wondering. In my experience, I am observing that US citizens don’t really view gold and silver as money as much as Ron Paul and others would like them too. I have […]
Is the United States Government Preparing for War Against The American People? Over the past few days, I’ve been asked this question by several blog readers, via my email… Well before I give my “official opinion” lets take a look at some related facts and recent government activities… Ammo Buy Up I’m sure that all […]
A couple of weeks a go after expressing an urgency to put our preps into high-gear, several readers asked why that I felt so strongly, about it, and why I felt the “the end” was getting close. I think that is a good and reasonable question, so I decided to do a write up, and offer an explanation. As you can see, I don’t think any one problem or event will cause the collapse of the American empire, but a number of separate but interlocking events and issues.
Another point to consider is that the U.S. government has the resources, and inside information that would allow them to foretell when a major disaster or complete collapse is coming and they have been prepping and building underground bunkers on a mass scale and despite the fact our tax dollars are being used to build those bunkers we are not invited.
We are all working so hard to be ready; everyone is talking about their preparations for the SHTF… we all want to be ready for whatever unpleasant times the future may hold. But… What about “AFTER” the SHTF? I mean immediately after! How we act during the first few critical moments or hours after an event will to a great extent determine if we’re even around to live in a new world and enjoy all those dehydrated meals. Kind of like we are all athletes preparing for the big game, exercising to get our muscles in shape, eating healthy food, buying special equipment but not giving much thought to “getting” to the actual game we’re preparing for.
Virtually everything that you do is being watched. Do you drive a car? Do you watch television? Do you use a cell phone? As you do any of those things, information about you is being recorded and tracked. We live at a time when personal privacy is dying. And it is not just governments that are doing this.
In fact, sometimes private companies are the biggest offenders. It turns out that gathering information about all of us is very, very profitable. And both government entities and private companies are going to continue to push the envelope when it comes to high tech surveillance until people start objecting to what they are trying to do.
If we continue down the path that we are currently on, it is inevitable that we will end up living in an extremely restrictive “Big Brother” police state where basically everything that we do is very closely watched, monitored, tracked and controlled. And such a day may be much closer than you think.
The following are 10 examples of how “Big Brother” is steadily creeping into our daily lives… #1 Our cars are rapidly being transformed into high tech “Big Brother” surveillance devices. In fact, a push is being made to require all new vehicles to include very sophisticated black box recorders…
by Michael Snyder - Economic Collapse Blog Did you know that there are nearly 102 million working age Americans that do not have a job right now? And 20 percent of all families in the United States do not have a single member that is employed. So how in the world can the government claim that the […]
So, who runs the world? It’s a question that people have struggled with since people began to struggle. It’s certainly a question with many interpretations, and incites answers of many varied perspectives.
Often, it is relegated to the realm of “conspiracy theory,” in that, those who discuss this question or propose answers to it, are purveyors of a conspiratorial view of the world. However, it is my intention to discard the labels, which seek to disprove a position without actually proving anything to the contrary. One of these labels – “conspiracy theorist” – does just that: it’s very application to a particular perspective or viewpoint has the intention of “disproving without proof;” all that is needed is to simply apply the label.
What I intend to do is analyse the social structure of the transnational ruling class, the international elite, who together run the world. This is not a conspiratorial opinion piece, but is an examination of the socially constructed elite class of people; what is the nature of power, how does it get used, and who holds it?
By Michael Snyder – The American Dream Did you know that the number of Americans getting benefits from the federal government each month exceeds the number of full-time workers in the private sector by more than 60 million? In other words, the number of people that are taking money out of the system is far […]
