Ammo shortage

When I was in AZ in the early 1980′s the law required a warning shot or that the 1st round was non-lethal. I found out that shot shells were considered non-lethal so I instructed my wife that the 1st round in my revolver was a shot shell, so aim for the crotch; never had a chance to test it’s lethality, but I didn’t want to make it a habit of wasting ammo.

I was taught …..1st… warning shot…..hit an extremity….leg, arm, personal part…….!! Then, in case of theft/life…..2nd shot is to eliminate threat. :)

Ammo is to expensive to waste, thank you Obama!

Also, I haven’t had the chance to try it….:)

But the price of protection is out of the roof…..so no more warnings…!
Right?

This Gov’t is falling apart.

I’m going to use it right below my sign that reads “You are now within range”!

I was thinking about just putting a target sheet from the range but I likes this one better :-) I had thought about putting the used targets on the wall by the door. This one is 10 feet, this one is 20 feet, this one is 30 feet lol . Lunch is over back to work.

good idea … i think it is much less offensive for the neighbors :)

GIL:

Had something similar 20+ years ago. I was at the range with my 44 Mag rifle and was checking the 25 yard zero. Ended up bring the target home with a 6 shot 1.5 centered group. A friend was over and asked about it. Then she asked “Don’t you have a 44 Mag Revolver?”, yes; “what is a long shot for a revolver?”, 200 yards; “what would be fast for 6 shots?”, 2.5 seconds. She writes all of this on the target and takes it to work. My soon-to-be-ex’s boyfriend shows up in her office and asks if she’s been shooting, she says “No, that’s *******’s husband.” He wouldn’t get out of the car when he was with her dropping off the kids. Like the car door on that Nissan was going to help much at 30 feet if I could do that at 200 yards. So much for the “big, tough, semi-pro football player)! LMAO!

These are funny. The only thing I don’t like is advertising that there are guns in the house. Then the criminals will time their break in when I am gone. That is the issue that folks in NY that were listed by the journal are having. There are already two burglaries. I don’t think they were coincidences.

georgeislearning January 24, 2013 at 8:23 am

yes that was one of my thoughts as well. I would hate for some scumbag to get a gun and use it. I like my house to look low key like theres nothing here. Its not really hard as theres nothing here lol.

My husband made a sign for us that reads, “Intruders will be shot. If you survive, you will be shot again”. I understand what the gentleman above means regarding announcing the presence of a weapon in the house, but the SO believes, at least to the benefit of the thugs out there, that forewarned is almost as good as forearmed.

Becky January 23, 2013 at 10:40 pm

I love this sign, is it permissible to copy it for our use on the gate post before they get to our home? If not, where we do go to purchase it in a larger size?

M.D. Creekmore January 23, 2013 at 10:55 pm

Becky,

It was sent to me in a forward and I reposted it here – I did not see not copyright notice so it should be okay…

Unleashd January 24, 2013 at 11:27 pm

Printed it!

:) having it made into a wooden sign for property.

Is that Okay MD?

Seriously? Shoot to wound first? No gun owner would ever suggest such a thing. In a life struggle or tense situation, your aim will be erratic to begin with. Shooting to wound? Fairy tale. Shooters know: aim mid chest and fire 3 times. Always.
