The ‘Real’ Unemployment Rate Is Still Really Lousy : “If you have doubts about the official jobless rate, there’s another rate you can check out instead–the “real” unemployment rate, which measures everybody considered unemployed plus a lot of others who are falling through the cracks.”

Idaho dairy workers charged with animal : “Three former dairy workers with Idaho’s largest dairy operation have been charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty after undercover video shot by an animal rights group showed workers stomping, dragging and beating cows inside a milking barn.”

Idaho daycare provider charged with lewd conduct : “A 72-year-old man is behind bars after prosecutors say he sexually assaulted a young girl in his care.”

18 million U.S. households struggling to feed families : “Almost 18 million American homes struggled to find enough to eat in 2011, including 3.9 million homes with children, or 10 percent of all families with children, according to numbers released on Wednesday by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Even worse off were single mothers and black and Latino households, the survey found.”

Switzerland Prepares For Mass Civil Unrest In Europe : “Despite being one of the most stable and economically vibrant countries in the world, primarily as a result of its refusal to join the Euro, Switzerland is preparing for mass civil unrest in central Europe that could spill over its border, by mobilizing troops to deal with potential disorder.”

28 Good Questions That The Mainstream Media Should Be Asking : “A recent Gallup survey found that 60 percent of all Americans “have little or no trust” in the mainstream media. That was a record high according to Gallup. So why is this happening? Sadly, the truth is that the mainstream media quit telling the truth a long time ago.”

Majority of ‘gluten-free’ foods found to contain GMOs : “In the wake of all the recent revelations about the dangers of GMOs, a special warning needs to go out to all those health-conscious consumers buying “gluten-free” foods. Turmeric can help regenerate the liver, groundbreaking new research : “Incredible, groundbreaking new research just published in the Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand found that the primary polyphenol in turmeric – curcumin – is able to repair and even regenerate the liver tissues in diabetic rats.”

‘Miracle cure’ controversy and why people should use DMSO for cancer, inflammation and more : “DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is a natural product from trees that relieves muscle and joint pain, treats bladder inflammation and protects healthy cells from cancer and chemotherapy drugs. DMSO was on track to becoming a major cancer treatment and promising cure for other ailments until it was shut down in 1960s due to ridiculous “safety” concerns that may not have even related to DMSO usage. This inexpensive, natural substance was merely another victim of the drug companies’ greed; the companies that work to discredit any readily available, cheap cure. However, DMSO did not go away and is available in liquid, gel or roll-on form at feed stores because it is approved as an anti-inflammatory treatment for horses.”

The top 10 breakfast cereals most likely to contain Monsanto’s GMO corn : “According to the Center for Food Safety, up to 85% of the corn grown in the United States is genetically modified. This means corn-based cereals that use non-organic corn have a very high likelihood of containing GM corn.”

  2. Just a follow up to the article you posted about the neurosurgeon claiming the afterlife exists because of his own personal, subjective experience, please balance it with this article (among many others like it): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2055499/An-body-experience-brain-playing-tricks-you.html

I’m not saying an afterlife doesn’t exist. I’m saying that there isn’t and probably never will be any scientific proof of this. Each of us can have our own personal belief and the truth will be revealed after death, weather it be the Christian (or Muslim or Hindi or whatever) heaven, a ‘generic’ heaven, fading into nothingness, or my own personal hope of being able to cruise the universe in an open top ’57 Chevy Bel Air.

    • Homeinsteader says:

That’s right, Mike. We’re all given “free will”. We must decide for ourselves, but we need to be very, very careful in that decision. That choice has ETERNAL implications in the forever world (not at all like this temporal world). Each and every one of us WILL live forever, in one of two places, heaven, or hell. They are both very real, and they couldn’t be more different, one from the other.

There have always been and will always be a plethora of “religions”, creations of man. Y’eshua/Jesus Christ railed vehemently against “religion”. I am not religious. I consider that label insulting. I simply love my Lord and Savior, and I love my Holy G-d. He has been so good to me for so long; as the Apostle said, “If I turn back, where will I go?”.

Holy G-d resides in in the Third Heaven, the place of His Throne. The enemy of all of G-d’s people, satan, lucifer, the great liar, the “fallen angel” who took one-third of the “stars of heaven” (angels) down into the abyss with him in his rebellion against Holy G-d, will reign eternally over hell, though he will be bound in the Lake of Fire. Sounds like Sci-Fi, doesn’t it?! It isn’t…it’s in the Word of G-d….you can read it for yourself, if you so choose.

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is death”. Proverbs 14:12; 16:25 This passage is not referring to a physical death, it refers to a spiritual death – eternal separation from Holy G-d and the place He has prepared for His people, those who have FAITH.

We walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Cor. 5:7
It is very important to Holy G-d that we simply BELIEVE without proof. There are many scriptures in the Holy Bible explaining to use the importance of SIMPLY BELIEVING what Holy G-d has to say (having faith).

But how do we get “faith”? FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF G-D. Romans 10:17

We are BORN knowing that “G-d Is”. All of us – no exceptions. We are also born sinners, since the day Eve bit into that “forbidden fruit” (the Word does not identify it as an “apple” – that was an artist’s rendition), and Adam followed her lead. We are born in need of a Savior. Which is why Holy G-d, in His mercy, gave us His Son, Y’eshua/Jesus Christ, one sacrifice for all people for all time – to those who will but BELIEVE and ACCEPT His free gift of eternal life in the next world, and the best life in this world. Read all about this in the Book of Hebrews.

There is NO “reincarnation”, no second chance. Hebrews 9:27: It is appointed once for a man to die, and after this judgment. When we die, the choice has been made – and we made it, while we had the opportunity.

      1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

1 Timothy 6 tells us that no man has seen G-d; there are other scriptures that tell us that G-d is so holy that no man could survive looking upon His holiness; it is for our protection that we can not “see” him in this temporary world:

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

“I am THE Way, THE Truth, THE Life; no man comes to the Father, except he comes through Me”. Y’eshua/Jesus Christ (emphasis added). John 14:6

I pray that everyone on this blog site will come to know and love Him, to worship Him, to follow Him, and to be under His protection in the things of this world yet to come (best life here)…and that we may be forever friends in that eternal world called, “heaven”.

But we are without excuse if we say, “there is no G-d”:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,

      John 14:

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions;[a] if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.[b] 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’

John 3:16 For G-d so LOVED the world (that’s you and me) that He GAVE…His ONLY begotten Son….

Even so, come quickly, Lord Y’eshua/Jesus!

I’ve spoken with too many people who had out of body experiances while their bodies were dead. Clinical Death, no heart beat, no brain waves. These people pretty much had the same events happen to them. Some from Cardiac events, some auto crashes, that sort of thing. One who was in a comma for amost a week.

My Wife drowned as a kid, she had the same reaction and says that she spoke with her already dead Grandfather.

I look foward to meeting my Lord face to face some day.

  8. “Almost 18 million American homes struggled to find enough to eat in 2011…”. It sounds terrible, but before I will get to excited, I want to kknow if it’s due to lack of resources or poor use of resources. I know that I only see a small portion of those on assistance, but these seem to put quality food last on their list of things that they buy. Toys, trinkets, and tattoos seem to be prevalent in this group. So before I would through more money at the “problem” I want to know if it really is a money/resource issue.

    • Cold Warrior says:

I got some family members who are “dirt bags”, plain and simple. They work, but spend their money on bingo, beer, and butts.

When the money runs out, they used to come to me. The thing was, the more I gave them, the worse that they became.

So they best thing I ever did, was to cut them off, AND IT WORKED!

    • Tactical G-Ma says:

Of course, it kills me to think of children having malnutrition and I have seen it very recently, but momma always had beer and cigarettes. And social services has been notified over and over and I have fed and taken care of the children more than once. You can throw millions of dollars at some people and there will still be children going to sleep hungry.

      • I have dealt with people in the food stamp program and from what I can see I think at least 25% of the money is “sold” for cents on the dollar for cash to buy other non food items. That could be beer, cigs or other drugs of choice. In the area I dealt with it was 50cents on the dolllar, what someone would do was get their card down to a certain amount let’s say $100 and then “rent” that card to someone for $50 cash and go buy what they wanted and the renter would then buy $100 of food and it was usually junk food or high$ stuff like shrimp, lobster etc. There was also multiple cards for families, one person I know of had 7-8 cards that they used all the time.

        • Homeinsteader says:

And then there are my friends who have worked all their lives, albeit in menial, low-paying jobs because they are poorly educated by today’s standards, neither of whom CAN hold a job any more and both would love to, and don’t qualify for foodstamps, because one of them qualified for disability; they have a total income of $900, but that’s before any cuts in the near future; they pay $200 a month rent for a black mold infested slum they’ve rented for 30 years and the landlord STILL won’t repair….they pay utilities, buy groceries, and don’t have enough money for their monthly meds, so, sometimes they get their meds, sometimes they don’t….they heat their home in winter by a gas heater, which they turn off when they aren’t there, thinking they are saving money – and go home to a very cold house; they don’t have any debts and still are “hanging on by a thread”. They own a car, but it’s old and always in need of repair; they have no way to buy a better car; they buy gas when they can so they can get to and from church, doctors, grocery store…and they recently had a granddaughter move in because no one wanted her…and are struggling to survive.

And then there are my family members who currently get $900 a month in disability, as the man of the house worked for years, had a series of heart attacks, and can’t hold a job any longer. We helped them until we were no longer able. But he just found out he’ll be losing about $134 a month. Don’t know how they’re going to make it, as they were barely getting by before. They are worried.

If only we could gather up all the abusers and get the money back, then give it to those who actually NEED and DESERVE it. But who would decide?

I remember one couple we befriended years ago, a black couple (we don’t happen to be black). I remember them laughing boisterously about abusing the system in the 70′s, cashing in on food stamps for multiple locations, eating steak at taxpayer expense, while I worked full-time and barely could afford peanut butter and canned soup. I did not think it was at all funny then or now.

If only it was as simple as we sometimes make it sound.

        • axelsteve says:

What gets me is tdl had set up a food stamp office in Mexico . That should be grounds for impeachment.

      • GoneWithTheWind says:

Everyone and anyone who takes food stamps or school lunches for their child and then their child is malnourished should face legal charges and possibly have their children taken away. By definition anyone getting food stamps AND free school lunches is guilty of fraud. We are in effect paying them twice to feed their kids. I personally think it should end. No free lunches and no food stamps. Get a job and take care of your kids! DUH!

        • How is a crappy school lunch a child gets once a day suppose to feed the child after he goes home and on the weekends? Here if u have food stamps u auto qualify for free lunch. There are some who don’t need free or reduced lunch but finding them is not easy. I do wish there was a tobacco deduction off the food stamp card, if they can afford cigs then buy some darn food instead.

Found this recipe for “Apple Jack” on M.E.N.; I have heard of it, but never tried it; do any of YOU have any experience with “Apple Jack”?

    INGREDIENTS
    10 pounds of sugar
    water
    3 gallons of fresh cider
    10 pounds of crushed raisins
    yeast (optional)
Pour the sugar into a large kettle and add just enough water to dissolve all of the sweetener. Bring the solution to a boil, hold it there for one minute, then allow it to cool until it’s lukewarm. Combine the cooled sugar water with the cider in a large jug or carboy and stir well. Crush the raisins and dump them into the container too. (You can add a tablespoon of yeast at this point if you want, but it’s not really necessary.)
Now cap the fermentation vessel tightly and run a small hose from the stopper to a jar of water. This way, gases which are liberated during fermentation can bubble out through the water in the jar, while air cannot enter into the main jug. (It’s important to keep air out of the carboy of fermenting brew, since oxygen promotes the growth of molds and other spoilage organisms.)
Let your Applejack mature at 70° F until you just can’t wait any longer, then drink it chilled (in hot weather) or piping hot (at night or on a cold day), and don’t forget to eat those raisins, they pack a wallop!

    • Lol…wonder if the apple jack raisins would work like gin and raisins are supposed to?

      • Homeinsteader says:

I don’t know t2rs, but I DO KNOW that gin-soaked raisins work for me in helping control arthritis pain, stiffness, etc. I make them in batches and keep them in the ‘fridge, in quart jars. They absolutely work – for me (but can’t guarantee they’d work for you; sorry). Golden raisins is the key, and, while science hasn’t studied it enough to find out “why” it works, it is generally believed that something about the Juniper berries, from which gin is made, is the key, that the and the golden raisins combined. Need my recipe? It takes a while to get a batch ready.

        • Wow, Homeinsteader, I had no idea that Gin was made from Juniper berries! That might explain why a friend of mine is going to celebrate her 104th birthday on 10/29. I never thought her eating habits were that healthy but she always has two gin and tonics daily.

        • I’d love to try the gin and raisins as I’m always looking for something to ease the arthritis in my hands but I gave up all forms of alcohol 20 some odd years ago.

          • Homeinsteader says:

t2rs, I don’t do “alcohol”, either. By the time these “steep”, the alcohol has dissipated.

I assume we’re talking about osteo and no rheumatoid?

            Here’s the recipe:

            • take a box of golden raisins. (note: they must be the golden variety, sometimes called white raisins, not ordinary black raisins).
            • place the raisins in a shallow container.
            • cover the raisins with gin.
Keep the raisins/gin covered with cheesecloth to keep dust and “critters” out, while still allowing alcohol to dissipate at a good rate.
            • let the raisins soak in the gin for a few weeks until the gin evaporates. Turn the raisins once daily with a large metal spoon (wood might absorb too much of the liquid). I find it takes about 3-4 weeks for them to properly dissipate where I live (temps and humidity will affect soak time).

I eat about a teaspoon per day. put them in a glass jar and keep them refrigerated.

IF HAVING ALCOHOL AROUND IS A PROBLEM, FORGET ABOUT THIS, HOWEVER.

There are also herbal treatments for arthritis; I’ll leave you to duckduckgo.com them and sort them out for yourself.

            • Homeinsteader says:

Oops. Use a shallow GLASS container – not metal. I like to use my big Pyrex baking pan.

            • Alcohol was never a problem and still isn’t. But it was a symbol of the lifestyle I adopted after my divorce to my kids and when they came to live with me I promised to give it up, along with dating strippers and running around at all hours with musicians….lol. I’m just too stubborn to ever go back to anything I’ve quit.

Turmeric: 2-3 grams a day works best for me. But you’ve got me thinking about trying a concentrated juniper berry tea on the golden raisins and seeing if that works. Got plenty of the berries in my stockpile. Always figured I could use them to make “bathtub” gin for trading.

            • Homeinsteader says:

Well, t2rs, as far as I can tell, juniper berries should be safe to consume, even just chewing them, UNLESS you are pregnant or lactating…just want to make sure you’ve covered all the warnings… (I’ll know you’ll have some snappy comeback!)

    • Cold Warrior says:

If you take “hard” cider and freeze it, then pour off the unfrozen stuff, and drink. You’ve mada real “Apple Jack” also known as “Bust Head” for the hangovers it produces.

Any sugar plus water and yeast= booze. People drink vanilla extract or mouth wash too. I’ll stick with a good Tennesse Whiskey or a Bourbon.

      • Homeinsteader says:

Well, I assumed it ended up being some sort of “booze”, and I don’t do booze, but I do like Apple Cider…guess one has nothing to do with the other, eh? Apple Jacks: didn’t we eat those for breakfast as kids?! ; )

    • Tactical G-Ma says:

      Sw’t Tater,
A lot of it comes down to decisions. I pinched pennies for years to save and prepare. I didn’t go out and party on Friday and Saturday nights. Whenever possible i bought all of our clothes at yard sales. I never had cable TV until I was nearly 50 (and it was basic cable). I drove a used car, clipped coupons, and my first pedicure was on my 55th birthday. DH and I still live modestly but when our friends were driving minivans and suvs we had used economy cars. We had cell phones provided by work. I don’t own bling and our travels have either been at gov. expense or to see our parents. When others were going on carnival cruises or the spa, I stayed home. I went years without hardly any extravagance so now we have savings and live comfortably although our medical insurance is $500 per month and our life insurance is $250 per month. We shop sales for food, grow food, gather what others don’t want, and buy bulk. We eat well and have great meds because we prepared for it and have always lived conservatively. I refuse to feel guilty because I made choices that made it good for us now. See, we are the couple that you laughed at driving the little johnboat with the 9hp motor while you and your friends partied on your 24′ ski boat.
Oh, and by the way we still send money every month to my MIL and provide for my elderly sister who lived the good life when she was younger. I am not stingy, but a lot of people did not plan. Now I am a prepper planning for something more and I will not feel guilty for preparing when others have to go without.

Not good with 100,000 Ivans already inside fighting for the other side.

We both know what a military build up looks like. Keep the Captain Morgan foot locker stocked, there are rough seas ahead!

      • SurvivorDan says:

Yeah. I was just fuming about that. I got my youngest in the Corps right now. Nothing like a little ‘build-up’ on the Syrian border or sending in 100 military advisers as in Africa. Just advisers….
        Vietnam ring a bell folks.

Just yesterday I had a few beers with a jarhead buddy of mine (Vietnam vet). We listened to Johnny cash’s “Drive On” and toasted pals who didn’t come back. We wondered if there was anyone who even thought about some of those boys this many years later. Maybe just us.

Point is: I can get riled and want to send some sh*thead straight to Paradise but I don’t beat the war drum as easily as some. Sick of American boys in body bags who sacrificed it all for some slick FED politician’s purposes.

Sometimes I think my old jarhead buddy is right:

When the great white fathers told the visiting Indian delegation, “Endeavor to persevere”. The Indians went home and thought about it for a long time. “Endeavor to persevere”. Then they declared war.

Aren’t the FEDs telling all of us the same thing? ;)

It may come to that TR. Wait……

    • You haven’t staked yours out yet?

      • LOL , not yet ……want better scenery than AZ can provide .

        • In reality there are vast tracks of land that are often remote and without the modern conveniences. If you have limited funds it’s good to know that many of these places are free to visit. There are no structures on them because they are owned by the feds. After it all goes sideways how much time do you think the feds will spend policing up these remote lands? They will have their hands full with the entitlement zombies in the city. So if you have limited funds I highly recommend discreetly looking for your eden in what others would call hell.

          • Homeinsteader says:

They WILL “police” them – heavily, for a while. Until it becomes impossible to keep it up, anyway. But for a while, shortly after SHTF, keep a very low profile, and don’t send up “smoke signals” (use a Dakota fire for heat and cooking); internet search will teach you how. Choose the sites that are “inaccessible” (there’s really no such thing). But make sure it is NOT privately owned; in the Ozarks, there are privately-owned tracts of land smack dab in the middle of Fed-owned lands; it’s not uncommon. In fact, some require that you cross through Fed land to get to the private land. There are also forest rangers and wildlife personnel all over the place, most of them with gubment-provided housing within their jurisdiction. They’re just “some of the local folk”. Those peeps will remain loyal to their jobs for a while, but, eventually side with their people. If you happen to choose a “privately owned” property, chances of being arrested for trespassing are greater, IMHO, as the owners are more likely to show up in this scenario. They’re gonna be “hiding out”, too. Our BOL is in the Ozarks. One way to find these properties is to look at “what’s for sale”; there are properties that are so remote, and in the middle of gubment forests, but the listings don’t identify them as such…you’ll have to either go there or talk with someone who knows the area, no matter which mountain/forest/desert area you are looking toward. Find yourself a good realtor who specializes in that area BECAUSE THEY LIVE THERE and isn’t starving for a sale. It’s worth the commission paid to have someone who knows the area and the people and the politics and all the things that have gone on in the area “watching your back”.

            • I agree, I would not want to be on private property during WROL. I think different scenarios will dictate different responses. With an economic collapse I think most of the feds in remote areas will be more focused on feeding their families. When uncle sugars dime isn’t worth spit, enforcing laws on those who are like them, just trying to survive may not be worth the time when they can have those people as allies or worse enemies.

            • Remember it took only four days for almost half of the New Orleans police department to resign. That was a localized disaster. Now multiply that by 1000. It’s called WROL for a reason.

          • lets hope it doesn’t come down to that

Riverrider, …and our Military response was what?

      • Cold Warrior – Response was pretty much the same as when Muslim extremists kidnapped the American ambassador to Afghanistan (Adolph Dubs, who was later killed) back in 1979 or when the American base in Beirut was bombed killing what, 170 or so soldiers, in 1983.
We didn’t bomb Afghanistan (at that time) nor did we turn Lebanon into a “glass parking lot.”

      • Our response was to apologize to any Muslims we offended with that darned free speech of ours and promptly have the maker of the movie arrested.

I am not anti-life after death person, but I had a “out of body experience” and I’m pretty sure it was just my mind playing a trick on me. I went into the ER with chest pains on Mother’s Day several years ago. I had become dehydrated from food poisoning and not being able to keep anything down. It turns out that I had atrial fibrillation and the only way to stop it was to use the defibrillation paddles. They gave me something so I wouldn’t remember the pain, which I didn’t, but I did hallucinate viewing myself from an elevated position at the end of the room. I saw my body rise from the table when they shocked me. I don’t know if that’s what actually happened or that I had seen too many medical TV shows. My EW thought that I had an “out of body experience” and I told her I wasn’t dying at the time only that my heart was beating too fast.

As far as Obama’s ring goes, isn’t it the main premise of Judaism and Christianity that there is no other God than Allah? After all, Allah is just the name of God in the Islamic religion which is based upon a Judaic-Christian foundation except that Christ is a prophet and not the son of God. I don’t see why it’s a big deal. He’s father was a Muslim and therefore it’s a part of his heritage. It’s like me wearing a ring with the same thing but in Gaelic. I guess I have to say here, once again, that I did not vote for Obama, but then again I don’t think that he is the devil incarnate or the anti-Chirst, etc., etc, etc. and not responsible for all things bad. I’m pretty sure that if McCain was president, and I did vote for him, that the economy would be just as bad or worse and that we might have troops on the ground in either Egypt, Libya, or Syria or all three.

    • Homeinsteader says:

“Allah is NOT the name of the One, True G-d. Y’eshua/Jesus Christ IS the Son of G-d, He is NOT merely a “prophet”. The Muslim faith is NOT based on a Judeo-Christian foundation.

Rick Warren of Saddleback Church famously made a comment some time ago equating both Allah and the One, True G-d; DO NOT listen to the Rick Warrens of this world. They will lead you through the path to destruction. Perhaps that is where you got this false idea that they are somehow the same? I do not know.

If you want to know THE TRUTH, you must read it for yourself; it’s in the Holy Bible. If you have difficulty understanding it, seek out a Bible-believing, Christ-centered church and attend regularly for sound teaching. Give it time; it will all come together.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Holy G-d, the One True G-d, said, UNEQUIVOCALLY: “You shall have no other Gods before Me, for I am a jealous God”…this does not mean that there ARE other legitimate gods, if you study it; it simply means that we (humans) can make “gods” of anything…and have. He tells us very clearly, “I, alone, am God”. Then He asks questions such as, “were you there when I formed the heavens, the earth, the stars, and everything in them?”. The point being, He ALONE is Omniscient (all knowingl) and Omnipresent (everywhere at once) – in common vernacular, “the buck has always begun and always stopped here, and it always will”.

G-d the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, created the angels of heaven – legions of them; and if He so desires, He can create more. He created all human beings. He created the earth and everything in it. There was no “big bang” and we didn’t crawl out of the oceans from an amoeba.

He is the only Being who was NOT created. I do understand that these are difficult concepts for us to wrap our limited intellects around; nevertheless, they always have been and always will be the Truth.

“I AM THE ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END”. Rev. 1:8; 21:6; 22:13

Allah and G-d are most assuredly NOT the same; Christianity and Islam have NOTHING in common, other, maybe, than that we are ALL sinners and ALL in need of a Savior. Holy G-d loves the Muslim as much as He loves any of His creation; and, by the way, the Arab people have a heritage from G-d; but it is not the same heritage as the Jews, the Apple of His Eye; this is true only because they descended from Abraham and Hagar (Ishmael, their child) the concubine/maidservant of Sarai (Sarah), who “ran ahead of the Lord”, rather than wait on His promises.

I am not aware of a Muslim or a Jew having EVER made such a claim (that allah and Holy G-d of the Christian faith are one and the same); they only seem to come from either people who make no claim to be affiliated with any particular faith group, or people who wear the label of “Christian” but do not know the Word of G-d, those folks (the ones who wear the label) are sometimes referred to as “fencesitters”. Of those persons Y’eshua/Jesus Christ said, “I would that you be hot or cold; on that day, I will spew you out of my mouth; I will say, ‘I never knew you’”. He is talking about His response to them on their judgment day, and we will ALL have one (Heb. 9:27: it is appointed once for a man to die, then comes judgment). This means they will NOT enter into heaven. That only leaves one other possibility, and I don’t wish hell on anyone, not even the vilest offender. If you study it in His Word, you’ll know why.

The Word of G-d is VERY CLEAR: one Savior for all time for all mankind, one final sacrifice, one great high priest: His name is Y’eshua in the original Hebrew/Jesus Christ in the Anglicized. He IS the Son of the Living G-d, sent to a virgin named Mary to live for about 33 years in the flesh on this earth; 1 Tim. 3:16

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

When Mohammed developed Islam, around 600 AD, he consolidated the pantheon of 360 Arabic deities into one. That one was called al Ilah, later shortened into Allah, and was the Arabic god of the moon. According to some experts, that explains why you’ll see a crescent moon atop most mosques. In other words, Allah was a creation of one man – and many have since followed. But this is not the only “religion” created by man with a huge following today, by any means, just so we’re clear on that point.

But there are other reasons to conclude that Allah and the Christian God are not the same. Christians worship one God in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Islam denies the Trinity and worships a god who is not a father and who has no son. They say, “God does not beget, and God was not begotten.” If they’re speaking of God the Father they’re half right, God was not begotten. But when it comes to God the Son, they’re wrong on both counts. The Father does beget and the Son was begotten.

“Allah” is a god of terror, of war, of killing (read the Qu’ran). He is a god only for men (women go to hell because they are women).

      Examples:
Bukhari (6:301) – “[Muhammad] said, ‘Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?’ They replied in the affirmative. He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her intelligence.’”

Bukhari (2:28) – Women comprise the majority of Hell’s occupants. This is important because the only women in heaven ever mentioned by Muhammad are the virgins who serve the sexual desires of men. (A weak Hadith, Kanz al-`ummal, 22:10, even suggests that 99% of women go to Hell).

The One, True, Holy G-d loves ALL His creation – male and female EQUALLY. He gave…and gave…and gave….He asks only obedience and faith in return for His loving protection in this life, and eternal life in the place He calls, “Paradise”, through Y’eshua/Jesus Christ the Son – the ONLY way to get there; confession of sin (we’re ALL born sinners – ALL – no exceptions), acceptance of the sacrifice of the Lamb of G-d on the cross at Calvary, and reading our Bibles, walking out the faith hour-by-hour, day-by-day, until He calls us home.

“I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE. NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER, EXCEPT HE COMES THROUGH ME”. Y’eshua/Jesus Christ

Quite a contrast in the two “religions”, I’d say. One has NOTHING to do with the other. I hope I’ve made SOME of the major differences more clear.

    • Uncle Charlie I agree with you in that I don’t think Obumer is an evil person etc, etc, I just think he is incompetent and way to unexperienced for the job he is in, and thus he has no way to help the situation the country is in right now. Now if all the conspiracy theorist are correct in his anti american new world order leanings then I stand corrected but to find out it will be to late for most of us.

    • McCain is the only reason Obama got in ……..they took a chance on the unknown guy rather than have what would have amounted to George Bush’s third term , not to mention he is a war monger ……I guess he didnt learn a damn thing as a POW .except how to put his hands up . I didnt know Obama had a heritage ? hardly any of those people had a written language the europeans didnt give them , they dont know where they come from or their lineage . His grand parents that he spent a great deal of his time with were card carrying communists . just sayin .

      • T.R.,

“McCain is the only reason Obama got in”

That and his skin color – I think a lot of people voted for him, not because he had (or has) good ideas or a solid plan to bring this country out of its hole but because that they wanted to prove to themselves that they were not racist.

Personally, I could care less what skin color that a candidate has but he had better have a solid plan, history, and beliefs that are close to mine before I will fully support them.

I don’t care much for Mitt Romney, but Obama is way off the point where I stand on most every issue and has had four years to do something to prove his worth, yet he has done nothing but talk and point fingers.

So as much as I hate it Romney will get my vote, because it would be difficult to do worse than what we have now. I think the American political candidate pool has run dry and there is no politician fit to be in a position of power anymore.

        • As I said , they voted for him because John McCain was a BIG negative ………..everybody , including me was hoping he would do the things in his campaign ………alas it was not meant to be . Few people realized just how far left he was …..now that is very clear , Paul is my choice , but as many have pointed out ……he did not get the nomination and writing him in would be counter productive at getting Obama out of office………..soooooo , Romney it is . Your right , both parties are so far off the mark at this point , that a true and effective leader is out of the question . I think we need more parties , but one thing at a time .

    • Uncle Charlie – Good points well stated.
As to the point of one god, I believe most people agree with and accept that Muslims, like Jews and Christians, worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as the saying goes.
During my travels this summer, I spoke with Muslims in Morocco and Egypt, lived with Jews in Israel, and drank with Christians in Europe, and discussions always included religion and its role in the daily news. Never did I hear anyone debate or even question
      that point.

    • axelsteve says:

Nope. Allah is no god of the Jews or christians.

    • +1 Uncle Charlie. Reason needs to prevail. No one person is responsible for the mess we’re in….they’ve ALL had a hand in it. The problems have been rolling along for awhile now…through several pres’s. I do not give any of them the power of the anti-christ, or of pure evil. All are human men…and women…and haven’t done a good job with the positions they’ve been in. Frankly, I hold the American people, myself included, as responsible for a good part of the mess. So much apathy and distraction and letting the problems roll on, even as we are “outraged” by them, and I include myself in that count. Who knew it would get this crazy? I counted on reason to prevail. Well…it’s taken a hike and gotten lost.

For myself, I’ve decided to still have faith in civility, reason, and fairness, and not let things and people out of my control take that away from me. I’m with MD that there are no ‘good’ folks in politics. I will vote, and vote for who most closely represents my views…but no-one really fits that bill either. It’s a another fine mess we’re in.

      Meanwhile, I prep.

  21. Uncle Charlie says:

Sorry Homesteader, I didn’t mean to set you off. I don’t even know who this Warren guy is. It is my understanding, as a Christian, that Allah is the God of Abraham just using a different name. I did not say Christ was a prophet, just that he was considered one by Muslims right up there with Moses and Mohammed. That’s certainly a higher place than the Jews give him. According to Muslim tradition, before the radicals got in control, peoples of the Book (old and new Testaments) were always supposed to be treated with respect. even in Iraq. Besides you are quoting the New Testament which predates Islam. How does that show that Muslims don’t worship the same God as we do by quoting something that predates them? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

I have heard many main stream Catholic priests, Protestant ministers and Jewish Rabbis express the same sentiment. This is not a radical idea, just a misunderstanding that many people haver regarding Islam. Some Baptists don’t think Mormons are Christians but I don’t thinks that’s mainstream either.

Wikipedia: Allah (English pronunciation: /ˈælə/ or /ˈɑːlə/; Arabic: الله‎ Allāh, IPA: [ʔɑlˈlɑː] ( listen), [ʔalˤˈlˤɑː]) is a word for God. In Arabic, the word means simply “the God.”[1][2][3] It is used mainly by Muslims,[4] Arab Christians, and often, albeit not exclusively, by Bahá’ís, Arabic-speakers, Indonesian, Malaysian and Maltese Christians, Mizrahi Jews and Sikhs.
According to Islamic belief, Allah is the proper name of God,[28] and humble submission to His Will, Divine Ordinances and Commandments is the pivot of the Muslim faith.[5] “He is the only God, creator of the universe, and the judge of humankind.”[5][6] “He is unique (wāḥid) and inherently one (ʾaḥad), all-merciful and omnipotent.”[5] The Qur’an declares “the reality of Allah, His inaccessible mystery, His various names, and His actions on behalf of His creatures.”[5]

In Islam, Allah is the personal name of the One true God. Nothing else can be called Allah. The term has no plural or gender. This shows its uniqueness when compared with the word god which can be made plural, gods, or feminine, goddess. It is interesting to notice that Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic.

Judaism used names for God such as Jehovah or Yahweh. Western Christians usually don’t use a name other that God, or God the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit.

Muslims use the name Allah to mean the same thing as do some Arabic Christians and Arabic Jews.

Although the three religions have significant differences, they all worship the same God, who we believe is the One True God.

This is one thing no one should be fighting about. God is God regardless of which name is used.

    • Homeinsteader says:

Again, I’m going to very strongly disagree with you. They are NOT one and the same.

Y’eshua/Jesus Christ spoke three languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, common for people at the time to speak all three languages. Hebrew, the native tongue, Greek, because they were under Roman rule (they were occupied), and Aramaic, because there were many Arabs in those lands, and the Arabs had once conquered parts of the Holy Land.

We DO NOT worship the same G-d. I could bury you in the proof, but, somehow, I think it would be an exercise in futility.

Read the Qu’ran. Read the Bible. Since they deny Christ as the Son, this, alone, is sufficient to prove they are NOT one and the same.

You are free to believe what you wish, of course, as are we all, but be very clear, there will be eternal implications for what we believe, as well as what we teach others.

      • Homeinsteader -
Your response has me a bit puzzled. You state, “Since they deny Christ as the Son, this, alone, is sufficient to prove they are NOT one and the same.”
Yet I have read the Pentateuch, the Christian scriptures and the Qur’an and to my memory only ONE religion believes in Christ as the Son and holds the belief of a Holy Trinity.
So are you saying that Jews and Muslims BOTH believe in a different god than Christians?

        • Homeinsteader says:

ABSOLUTELY NOT. The Christian faith was born of Judaism; we both serve the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Some Jews, however, have not accepted that Y’eshua/Jesus Christ the Messiah has already come (we all know that). However, many have and many did – it’s how the early church was born.

But I am saying unequivocally that Jews and Christians DO NOT worship the same “god” as Muslims, “Allah”, and never will. As I just told “Uncle Charlie”, using the strongest language possible, that LIE is “straight from the pits of hell”.

See earlier posts for the origin of Allah.

          • There is one God, and if one knows that, it’s all that matters. If someone else worships differently than I do, or even claims they worship a “different” God, it matters not, as I know there’s only One, and how one comes to God doesn’t matter. I find your adamant declaration that there are different Gods disconcerting Homeinsteader. God is God. Period.

Now if you want to say that folks ‘worship’ differently, then I can agree with that. But there’s only one God to worship, regardless of how it’s done. Even Pagans worship God, as the Nature that they worship is from the only God.

And I believe God is loving and accepts all as Children of God.

One G-d; ONE SAVIOR, One Way of Salvation…there is no other…G-d definitely LOVES all of His creation…but He also makes it very clear that “we shall have no other G-ds before Him”. He states very clearly, “I alone am G-d”. He states very clearly that He is a “jealous” G-d. He also gave us His Son, and makes it very clear that NO MAN comes to Him except he comes through HIS Son, the final sacrifice One time, for all people, everywhere. This message is shared from Old Testament to the very last word in the New Testament.

1John.5:1a Whosoever believeth Jesus is the Christ is born of God
Revelation 3:20 If any man…open the door, I will come in to him

It matters very much what we believe and what we teach. But, yes, He loves each and every one of His children, and He desires that none of us should perish.

              THE CHOICE IS OURS.

    • Both christianity and islam are offshoots of judaism . The muslims hate that ;)

      • T.R. -
Actually, from my observations, that fact bothers the Christians much more than it does the Muslims.

        • Homeinsteader says:

This is not a FACT, T.R. In fact, it is not true at all. The Christian faith could not exist without the Jewish faith; Y’eshua, Jesus Christ: ” I did not come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it.”

Islam has nothing to do with Judaism, any more than it has to do with Christianity.

          Get your facts straight.

    • Charlie. I in no way worship the crescent moon god.

  22. Ryan vs B…………A draw with privileges. Biden’s mugging and bugging and interruptions was unbecoming. Laughing over Iran and the bomb? And not seeming to take the threat of a nuclear Iran seriously? Made Biden look silly. But having said all that? It was still a draw…Ryan held back……Biden bloviated……..it will take the fact checkers to hold them accountable for their points.

  23. Uncle Charlie says:

Homesteader: I guess we will have to agree to disagree. Please don’t bury me in proof, I’m not ready to go yet. “Allah” is merely the Arabic word for God and predates Islam. Just because Jews and Muslims don’t believe in Jesus as the Son of God, doesn’t bean they don’t believe the the same God, just that they just have different beliefs in the nature of God. Just because the Pope prayed in Arabic doesn’t mean he is attempting to merge with Islam. Again, Arabic is just a language that existed before Islam and before Christianity and a sister tongue of Aramaic.

How many different types of Christianity are there, all with their own individual beliefs, and yet I believe they all worship the same God although you might not know it from their actions. I always though Christianity was about love: “Love God with thy whole heart and love they neighbor as thy self” pretty much sum it up for me. But nowadays there seem to be a lot of what I call Old Testament Christians who want to teach hate and not love. Like those who burn the Koran and who say our men and women in the service are dying because of gays. Christ’s sermon about the good Samaritan could have easily been about the good Muslim, but they didn’t yet exist.

    May God bless you.

    • Tactical G-Ma says:

      Uncle Charlie,
I do believe you have hit the nail on the head. I have already accepted Jesus in my heart. But the rules of living a good life is to love God, love yourself, and love your neighbor like you love yourself. Unfortunately, the perversion of scripture and the number of false prophets are rampant in all faiths, shapes, and colors. The one lesson I have trouble with is turning the other cheek. I only have 2 cheeks after that I have to decide fight or flight.

    • Homeinsteader says:

How many “Christians” burned the Qu’ran? One. Wow. What a generalization.

You are partially right, in that Y’eshua/Jesus Christ made ONE SACRIFICE for ALL, ONE TIME for ALL, including Arabs. We are ALL free to make our own choices. Our Holy G-d is a G-d who wants His children to come to Him of their OWN FREE WILL, not because it was forced on them. The One, True G-d is a gentleman; He does not force Himself on anyone. He doesn’t need to.

And, yes, there are many denominations. Denominations are a thing of man, they are not of G-d. Another way of saying “denomination” is “religion”, which is why Y’eshua/Jesus Christ spoke vehemently against it.

      Mark 12:30
And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no other commandment greater than these.

See also: Matt 22:37; Luke 10:27

In the Mark 12 verses, Y’eshua is speaking to the Chief Priests, Scribes, and Elders in the Temple in order to reveal their hypocritical character. Their emphasis was on the LAW, but there was no MERCY or GRACE (fruits of love). He was trying to tell them, “you’re focus is all wrong; less emphasis on the law, and more and mercy and grace” (love). He was saying, “you don’t love people; you love the law; you’re going about this thing all wrong”.

      John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

      1 John 3:23
And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

Notice the first part of 1 John 3:23 – “BELIEVE…”this is obviously given greatest weight in His words…then…”love on another’…why do you think He expressed these two COMMANDMENTS in this order?

      1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Y’eshua also said, “Do not condemn the lost, for they are already condemned”. He was speaking to Christians. But He also said very clearly that we are to know the Word, rightly divide the Word, apply the Word, judge by the Word. Yes, He told us to “judge”; he was speaking to Christians, and He meant “judge” the truth and speak it IN LOVE (right motivation).

You are free to believe what ever you will; as are we all.

But DO NOT teach the lie that “Allah” is the Christian or Hebrew G-d; if you want to believe it, I can’t help you. I’ve tried to be “nice” up to now, but, I’m gonna tell you, I’ve had enough of this nonsense. THAT LIE IS STRAIGHT FROM THE PITS OF HELL.

Someone who didn’t care about you wouldn’t bother to answer you at all. Someone who cares enough to want you to experience the TRUTH (love) will correct your false teaching. There is an eternal price to pay.

Do you want THE TRUTH? Do you desire WISDOM?

      James 1:5
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

I WILL NOT respond to another message on this subject here. We’ve taken enough of other people’s resources, I do believe.

      • ” We are ALL free to make our own choices. Our Holy G-d is a G-d who wants His children to come to Him of their OWN FREE WILL, not because it was forced on them. ”

The exact reason our forefathers felt freedom of religion was absolutely necessary .

      • Tactical G-Ma says:

        HomeInsteader,
I am not as learned in the Bible as you are but I thought Muhammad was a decendant of Ishmael, the bastard son of Abraham. Is that not true?

        • HomeINsteader says:

Muhammad had no part in Abraham DIRECTLY, but to the extent he was an Arab, he did. He was just a man who created a new religion by melding the pantheon of Arab “gods” (ALL of them false gods; created by men) together. He easily became wildly popular amongst a people with a strong penchant for male-dominated society, as women hold no value in the teachings of Muhammed, even today. Property, including animals, holds more value than women. Women exist strictly for the pleasure of men in these teachings. Which is one of the reasons I believe “THE Antichrist” will be an Arab, “he has no regard for women” (Daniel 11:37). This is not an indication that he practices homosexuality (he MAY do that, as well), as some have said, but that his teachings and beliefs are that women are not important. What faith holds to that premise openly? The Muslim faith.

But, no, he has no “royal lineage according to Holy G-d”, other than being an Arab, and all Arabs are descended from Ishmael.

The Arabs (descendants of Ismael; son of Hagar the Egyptian handmaiden of Sarai – later changed to Sarah – she was sent to Abraham as a concubine by Sarai AFTER Holy G-d promised Sarai/Sarah that she and Abraham would give birth to a child WHILE SARAI was “old in age”. Sarai laughed aloud at this news (Gen. 18:10-19), and offended Holy G-d with her unbelief. Rather than wait on the Promise of G-d, Sarai took matters into her own hands, and sent Hagar, her Egyptian maidservant, in to Abram (name later changed to Abraham by Holy G-d) but, before the child was born, Hagar became haughty and gave Sarai a very hard time, because she carried Abram’s child and Sarai did not. Sarai demanded that Abram “send the servant away” (turn her out her own), which Abram did not want to do, but gave in; Hagar went to the wilderness and, beside a spring of water, cried out to die. But Holy G-d had a plan and a promise for the Arab people – a blessing because of Ishmael, descendant of Abram, the child inside her.

Ishmael’s blessing, however, WAS NOT the blessing of the Israelites – not by any means. Still, they have a prominent place and a special blessing straight from the Creator G-od, Himself.
In Genesis 16:11, Holy G-d tells Hagar of Ishmael and his descendants that she will bare a son, and name him “Ishmael”; He also promises a blessing “Because the Lord has heard your affliction. G-d made this promise ONLY because Ishmael was a descendant of Abram, who “found favor with G-d”. Of Ishamel, G-d said, “He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man. And every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” Gen. 16:11-12

This is a picture of a people who are perpetually “at war”. This is not a curse placed on them by Holy G-d, this is simply G-d saying, “this is who Ishmael’s descendants (Arabs) will be”, because G-d knows ALL things before we know them. He IS the Alpha and the Omega. He already KNEW where this thing was going…but Abram and Sarai disobeyed G-d, and, as He so often does, He gives us over to the consequences of our disobedience.

Abraham was 86 years of age when Ishmael was born (Gen. 16:15). He was 99 when the Lord met with Abram and established His covenant with Abram (Gen. 17). Here, his name is changed to Abraham.Sarah gave birth to Isaac at the age of 90.

In Genesis 15, we see Holy G-d’s promise to Abram to become “Father of ALL nations”. How many? ALL. We also see in this chapter that G-d very clearly states that the “heir” shall not be Ismael, but the child of Sarai and Abram. In this same chapter, G-d reveals that Abram’s heirs will be captives 400 years. In Gen. 15:18, we see the land that G-d has given to Israel FOR ALL TIME, and G-d later says, repeated, “Let no man move the ancient boundary stones”. This is why what is going on in our world today – those who continue to try to take land that belongs to Israel for all time by covenant with Holy G-d, including so-called “Palestine” (a British invention from long ago)- is so very, very important, and why we MUST oppose it, if we choose to obey, serve, and love the One, True, Holy G-d.

Hope I’ve well answered your questions, T-GMa. Blessings to you, and all that is yours, in the Name Above Every Name, He Who Was, and Is, and Shall Be Again – Y’eshua/Jesus Christ!

          • Tactical G-Ma says:

            HI,
Thank you. That is how I understood it. Although Abram fathered Ishmael, the lineage is thru the mother. Ishmael was never a Jew. He reigned over or founded the Arabs. I have heard theologists speculate that Muhammad could have been a decendant of Ishmael. But the Arabs never worshiped the God of Abraham and Abrahams lineage. It is more likely that Allah is some derivative of Egyptian dieties.

      • village idiot says:

Homeinsteader, you are well-versed in the knowledge and wisdom of the scriptures. I fought a similar fight, albeit not scriptural when I was in college. The professor kept saying all the problems with Islam was the fault of the Europeans because of the Crusades.

I was well-read in history, and I knew that the Muslims had come out of the Arabiam Peninsula in the late 600s in raids of conquest. Over a period of time going into the early 700s Muslims had conquered all the Holy Land up to the Byzantine Empire and across No. Africa, forcibly converting peoples they conquered. The Muslims invaded Spain, i.e. Europe in the 700s, and completely conquered all of it and much of what is now France. They were stopped at the Battle of Tours by Charles Martel in 732.

From the time Spain was conquered until the beginning of the Crusades, the Muslims were constantly attacking Europe. So the Crusades were a direct result of almost 700 years of Muslim assaults on Europe. Yet this professor kept trying to force me to believe something that wasn’t true. That lie keeps being spread by people in this country as well. Ignorant people who don’t know their own history.

        • HomeINsteader says:

Thank you, vi; I was wondering if anyone on here would speak up and defend the faith.

I’ll be at the BOL in the Ozark Plateau in a few days; you are nowhere near that area, eh?

You can email me at HTOITA2012@gmail.com (That’s “H” for Here, “T” for There, “O” for Or, “I” for “In”, “T” for The, and “A” for Air 2012; I’ll probably send you another address, just so you know.

Blessings to you, and all that is yours, in the Name Above Every Name, He Who Was, and Is, and Shall Be Again, Y’eshua/Jesus Christ.

  24. Uncle Charlie says:

Homesteader: You are making this a matter of faith. I’m making it a matter of history. However, I have the Vatican, Archbishop of Canterbury and numerous Rabbis who agree with me. I am not denying Christ but just saying “Allah” is the Arabic name for the God of Abraham and is used to this day by Arabic Christians, Jews and Muslims. As a Western Christian, I will continue to use the word God but I consider it no different that Allah or Yahweh or Jehovah. If I’m wrong, I am sure God will forgive my ignorance.

    • Tactical G-Ma says:

      Uncle Charlie,
So glad you brought this up. These days I sometimes question my memory.
The Muslims would go into a village and say convert to Islam and when they didn’t the village people, kids and all, had horrible atrocities done to them before being beheaded. Many of these villagers had not heard of Jesus and still worshipped pagan gods and still would not convert. If the Crusades had not repelled the Moors, no telling where we would be today.

    • HomeINsteader says:

      Don’t count on it.

    • HomeINsteader says:

I am making this a matter of TRUTH. What you believe is NOT the truth. You teach a lie, in other words. And you seem to be unwilling to learn. Like I said, I can’t help you.

  25. Tactical G-Ma says:

Actually it was VI that brought up the crusades. Sorry VI

  26. Uncle Charlie says:

Tactical G-Ma, Christians did the same thing. Check your history. Many countries were converted to Christianity when the king converted. Those subjects who didn’t convert usually met with the sword. Remember Roland (as in the song of Roland)? He slaughtered men, women and children in villages who had taken up their old pagan practices. Since you brought up the Crusades, check out what Richard the Lion Hearted did. He massacred 2,700 Saracens AFTER they had surrendered. Remember, western history books are written by Christians and are not necessarily unbiased. Also when the Christians kicked the Muslims in Spain, they gave Muslims and Jews the choice to convert or die although some were allowed to leave. Remember the Christian Church used to burn heretics at the stake. And let us not forget the KKK. I could no on and on. Those who kill in God’s name, regardless of their religion, are blasphemers. History demonstrates that Christians have no high moral ground to stand on when it comes to wanton acts of violence. Thanks God, freedom of religion is in our Constitution.

I guess I have now to say that I was born and raised a Christian. My elementary school, high school, college and law school were religiously (Christian) affiliated. I am not anti-Christain but as a student of history, I cannot avoid the facts.
