Win Over $1,170 Worth of Survival Food and Gear!

by M.D. Creekmore (a.k.a Mr. Prepper) on August 15, 2010

To expand our knowledge base and make The Survivalist Blog more useful to readers we are actively seeking guest bloggers.

Submitted articles should be practical how-to information related to survival, food storage, emergency preparedness, homesteading off-grid, simple living or anything else you can think of that will help others plan, prepare and survive.

Please keep everything low-budget - no using your personal jet as a bug out vehicle or other such nonsense. Keep it practical.

All writings must be original works not published anywhere else of 1,000 words or more – copyright becomes the property of The Survivalist Blog dot Net upon publication.

The author of most practicable article submitted over the next 60 days will receive:

  1. A case of Mountain House freeze-dried assorted entrees, in #10 cans, courtesy of Ready Made Resources.
  2. A gift certificate for $200 off your next ammo purchase from Lucky Gunner Ammo.
  3. A Big Berkey Water Filter from Directive 21.
  4. An Ultimate Seed Vault from The Emergency Seed Bank.
  5. Copies of The Tough Times Survival Guide volume one and volume two.

Prizes have a combined retail value of over $1,170. Email your submissions here.

Contest ends on October 6 and will be judged mostly on content usefulness and not writing skill. You don’t have to be a professional writer to enter just a willingness to share information and to help others.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and good luck.

a 1000 words is a little long, most usful info will be direct and to the point. one thing i like at this site is that the articals are to the point and not short stories. look back at most of your posts how many of them were that long? some people will write longer artical but the best ones ive read that were useful were short and to the point on one mabe two elements of survival . rawles site has long articals that are all over the place i think we the readers would prefer shorter and to the point and more subjects covered. i would like to do an artical but some subjects dont warrent a 1000 words. when my grandfather told me something it was short and to the point and i remember most of what he taught me quality over quantity any day
