A Thank You to The Wolf Pack

I just wanted to take a moment to say, thank you. Thank you for your comments, support and the guest posts that you provide.

You are a great bunch and even-though some of us might disagree on some points, sometimes, we are all still family and a great community, a community, that I’m personally, thankful to be a part of.

If any of you have any questions or suggestions please email those to me.

  1. Awwwww…. Big hug!

  2. THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. A big thank you to MD for hosting such a useful site and putting up with the rest of us.

  4. Thank YOU, M.D., for providing this most excellent blog for our use!!

    • Ditto on all the comments! It’s a lot of work to maintain a website, especially one with a comment forum. You’ve got the most useful prep site on the ‘net. I’m so thankful to have found it.

  5. Nebraska Woman says:

You are my internet family, oh Patriarch of the Pack!

  6. Thank you for hosting this blog; I appreciate your efforts and the willingness of the pack to help others. Wish everyone a great day.

  7. Thank you very much for being here and doing this for us all! Your patience must surely be tried, but as one who has changed her mind over time on a few things (like honey, for example) I am very grateful to you for letting us come up to speed at differing paces.

  8. Cheyenne says:

We appreciate all your hard work to keep this site going. We have learned so much from others who share with us here!

  9. MD, I work w/ some volunteers & supervise/coordinate a small # of employees at my workplace, & I know that when people’s disagreement reached the level it was here recently, it causes stress for the person who’s responsible for overseeing or trying to keep people working together. So, altho I’ve never run a forum/site, I can relate, to some extent, to your challenges here.

& there’s an old saying (not sure if it was from Abe Lincoln or ??) that goes something like this: You can please all the people some of the time, & u can please some people all the time, but u can’t please all the people all the time.

Hope u have a super & blessed week!

    • JeffintheWest says:

I thought that was P.T. Barnum of “Barnum and Bailey Circus” fame…. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  10. Chuck Findlay says:

MD are you going to invite us all over to drink all your beer, sit around the campfire telling stories, singing kumbaya ?

  11. hvaczach says:

It is a privilage being able to interact here, so thank you. It is nice knowing that one is not alone (the lone wolf) that others share a common belief that all is not right in the world, it makes it easier to make the sacrifices you must to be ready when you need to be.

  12. mountain lady says:

I would be lost without you and the pack to keep me informed on a variety of subjects. Thank you.

  13. All the above and ditto! Great site M.D.

  14. Millie in KY says:

Thank you, MD, I don’t feel so all alone here and have made another prepper lady friend who I hope to meet up with one day! We think very much alike! I appreciate this site, I don’t feel crazy here and you all have given me so much to think about and great ideas. Thanks to you all!

    • Millie in KY
Hi, I have sure missed seeing your post, happy to know you are still hanging in there with us. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Thank you, MD.
For bringing us together. For spreading the prepper way to new people. Logical, common sense survival at the touch of a button.

  16. Donna in MN says:

I am grateful to you for bringing us together on ideas and the best information on any prepper website.

  17. I wish to thank YOU, MD for all your time, energy, stress, and patience that goes into this site.
Five plus days a week, you open your home, your knowledge and your personal experiences to complete strangers. Each of us have grown in many ways thru your generosity.
This is the best site on the net.
    Thank you,

  18. Texnadian says:

    Woof woof aarruuuu

  19. Hunker-Down says:

Ditto to all the things the girls said, they express my feelings…..except the hug thingie.

    • HD, if you don’t want a hug, it just means more for everybody else. ;-D haven’t spent a lot of time around women from the south have ya?

  20. What can one say when I needed help you were there to let the pack know, and when I need a place to lift my spirits this site was there.
‘Thank you’ are such small words that carry such a deep meaning, from my family to you THANK YOU.
Hang in there with this family(pack)we are worth the caring and sharing you do for us and with us.

  21. Texnadian says:

Same as Texanadian. Using tablet and messed up. I am sure you understand.

  22. Bless your little heart, M.D. Tell your momma to give you a big hug from all of us. If you will start brewing the tea, I will start baking the cookies.

  23. TR from CA says:

Thank you MD. This is the best blog, with a great group of people. It is like you said, this is an internet family. And everyone brings something to the table.

  24. I appreciate all the good advice. Down right. common sense. And just straight up no nonsense.

  25. Just realized BC hasn’t been around for a few days. Hope all is okay and he hasn’t OD’s on chocolate covered, bacon-stuffed Oreos.

  26. M.D. And Pack,
I would like to thank all of you for the knowledge and insight that I’ve gleaned from you the past couple of years. I read several similar blogs daily, but this one is by far the best. I don’t usually comment, so you probably don’t recognize me as a regular. Anyway, keep up the good work!

  27. I would like to join in the thank you’s and say this is the first blog I go to daily and the last one I check at night. Although I don’t post much , I read every post ad enjoy learning from every poster even the ones I disagree with. Again thank you for this great blog.

  28. Jersey Drifter says:

M.D. I think we all feel that instead of you thanking us, we want to thank you. You do a great job with this site, and the info that you put out and make available to us from other pack members is first rate.
I know I wouldn’t be as far along as I am in being prepared if it wasn’t for this site. I like to think that the info here at The Survivalist Blog will keep me alive a few months or maybe even years longer when the SHTF. Without this I would be toast.
And I feel that you and the pack are like good friends, like family.
    Thanks Again.

  29. j.r. guerra in s. tx. says:

You are welcome – always some good topics and comments on your blog. I appreciate the work you and the other writers do.

  30. This is the only place I can get useful information and a couple of laughs as well. Hugs out to everyone.

  31. Petticoat Prepper says:

I really appreciate this site and all your hard work MD. Given where my life is currently I’ve not been posting much but I’ve popped in to read when I could. I’ve missed chatting with everyone and I’m trying to get back to normal. The pack is part of my normal. I love the great wealth of info here!

    • Lauri no e says:

      Petticoat Prepper,

Good to hear from you, I had mention that you had not posted for awhile a couple of times.

  32. Thank you MD. Your blog is awesome. I am glad that I found it, and look forward to coming here to read your posts, and everyone’s comments every chance I get. I like seeing the pics of the work that you have accomplished as well. Your blog gives people a starting point, focus, and direction when they may feel overwhelmed, and don’t know what to do.
This blog is a treasure, of both information, and people.
    God bless you all.

  33. I think calling it “a community” is a good summation of this group.

    • Yes, JP it is a “community” and I am very thankful for it and for all you do for us MD. I have come so much further in my preps since I started coming here one year ago. I really appreciate all of the posts and the comments made here. I have learned so much that I had not even thought about before.

  34. Southern Girl says:

I have not voiced an opinion/comment on the recent dissension on this blog. I do attempt to read all the postings when time allows. I would like to say that in my opinion, you have handled the recent issues in a very mature and wise way. You exhibit a wisdom beyond your years. Thank you for all your time and effort in maintaining this website. I know your mom must really be so proud of all your hard work and your accomplishments.

I would like to share something I’ve learned over the years in order to control my anger/frustration dealing with the public. I ask myself this question, “Is this particular event/confrontation really going to matter in a week, a month or next year?”. Almost always the answer is no and I find I can take a deep breath & just back off. It has saved friendships, my job & it just simply makes my life easier in dealing with others.

    To Petticoat Prepper,

Chin up girl! Good to see you back. Don’t let IT win!

    To Bam Bam,

How in the heck do you drink hot tea in Florida? You are further south than I am! However, I don’t drink iced tea sweetened.

    • Petticoat Prepper says:

      Thanks Southern Girl,

IT was recently fired as a client by his first divorce attorney. Which I kinda found funny but it puts me 7 months into this and right back a square one.

We’re having a monsoon today so I think I’m going to make me some hot tea with a dried slice of blood orange in it and put my feet up. It’s been a long day!

  35. thank you MD very much for all that you do. it means an awful lot.

  36. Bwhntr59 says:

Thanks MD for this very well thought out and informative blog. Your practical and measured advice/council is much appreciated.

  37. I’m new here but you run a great website. Thank you.

  38. Lauri no e says:

Thank you, for this blog and all the hard work and input.

  39. patton1960 says:

……….stepping out of the shadows for a moment. i have been on here for quite some time now. i read this site twice everyday. the information and knowledge shared is an invaluable resource and tool we will be needing in the coming months and years. i want to thank all the members of the pack who share in this brain trust. and a BIG THANK YOU to MD. not only for the time and energy to put this together and keep it running but also the foresight to bring it about in the first place…………….stepping back in now

  40. I don’t know what any of us would do without this site and the combined wisdom of all the posters? Sure, we may disagree, but as I’ve always said it’s the respect that MD gives all his posters to express their opinion that makes this the #1 survival blog on the planet.

    • +10 Well put, Cavtrooper. You’re absolutely right about the respect. I’ve visited a lot of so-called prepper/survival sites over the years, and have found a few to be decent. Very few. Now they seem to be coming out of the woodwork, repeating everything all the other sites are posting. This one feels “real”, if that makes sense.

  41. suburban housewife says:

How nice M.D. – I don’t think I can say anything that hasn’t already been said – I too appreciate what you have provided for us here.
