Well, folks, it’s been 16 years since the 9/11 disaster that took the lives of 3,000 innocents who were in the wrong places at the wrong time. Lives were lost and families were broken – you might be gone from this world but not forgotten.
September 11, 2001, also brought an end to the Fourth Amendment with the federal government using the disaster to further their goals of control and an all seeing spy state that makes the fictional book 1984 by George Orwell look meek in comparison.
A never ending “war on terrorism” which is great for the profits of the military-industrial complex.
Gave the U.S. federal government an excuse to invade Iraq and Afghanistan also great for the profits of the military-industrial complex
The “Patriot Act” which is anything but patriotic that made the U.S. a spy state where our overlords and masters watch and collect data on everything we do and again also great for the profits of the military-industrial complex.
See the pattern here? The events of September 11, 2001, was an awful day for the victims, their families, and the nation as a whole, but it worked out great for the federal government as an excuse to occupy Iraq and Afganistan and to pass unconstitutional laws that did away with the Fourth Amendment thus turning the U.S. into a spy state where our every move is watched and recorded.
It was also (and continues to be) very profitable for the military-industrial complex.
My question for you today is – where were you when you first heard about the attack on 9/11/01?
I was at work at a rubber hose factory. The plant manager came out and called everyone to the front and told us what the news was reporting and we all prayed for the victims and the nation.
It was a sad day.
