This article is a review of Tactikey™ a new product and it is NOT a paid review. Everything said in the article are the thoughts and results of the author and do not reflect the company or owner of this website.
Tactikey™ is a really cool brand new product for personal defense. No matter where you live in the United States Tactikey™ can be used! (see legal disclaimer at end of article) At this time it is even allowed for air travel as it is not sharp and is not a tool for bludgeoning, rather it is a simple addition designed to be added to your house key to help you and or your loved ones add to their layers of protection!
According to the company, “Safety is a state of mind. Confident prepared citizens make poor targets.” I absolutely agree with this sentiment, statistically, individuals who are aware of their surroundings are less likely to be accosted by individuals desiring to cause harm. Tactikey™ allows a son or daughter or grandchild who may be attending school outside of the home to have a defense tool on their person without causing alarm among fellow students and the watchful eyes of the state paid educators (who sometimes seem to care more about reporting intelligence than teaching it) Again make sure your children understand the rules and policies as well as your rules and policies, in my case they know to follow school policy, except when it becomes necessary to defend themselves and then things change as needed.
So what is Tactikey? This is the easy part, the pictures and the video attached all do a fine job of showing the product, however, it still requires a bit of explaining. It is a tool that allows you to more easily use your key or keys to defend yourself. It fits tightly over a standard Kwikset key (the only style available at this time, again it is a BRAND new product) and fits comfortably in your hand between your fingers. The long part should be to the front of your knuckles with the other keys hanging below so you can easily open doors and or defend yourself. See this link for further more in depth written instructions. It is made of a malleable strong composite (TP110) and comes in many colors. I personally made sure my children and wife had one, for the children being at school without most of the tools they are used too is difficult at best. This allows them to augment their decent hand to hand skill with an additional tool and while it is only a tool the confidence it inspires with having it legally is amazing!
I am including a video that shows the easy application and use of the tactikey, I am no videographer and it shows. However, it will help you better understand the benefits of this product. I believe in it enough that I have several and have distributed them to people I care about. (And I am always armed with knives, firearms, tasers and more. And have armed and trained since I was a child) this is simply another NON-deadly tool to be used! I highly recommend the Tactikey™ for yourself and others. An inexpensive way to provide a bit more security in an insecure world!
Free the mind and the body will follow
(It is important to understand the legalities of self-defense in your location, I am not an attorney nor am I legal counsel, I am a dad and self-defense instructor with a decade and a half training experience and several events under my belt, I have no record and have never been under arrest! Every location around the world has different laws regarding self-defense.
Some nations have laws allowing equal defense of self, or use of force equal or less than the force used against you. Other nations do not allow any defense of self even when their legal system says they do / Great Britain enjoys imprisoning individuals who defend themselves.
States within the United States have varying laws, however, there is a single law or code that overrides all others in the United States, while some states and many people have a desire to rid themselves of it so far it remains.
Because our legal system stands in English Common Law in principle in the United States you can engage in defense of self and do so legally as long as that defense of self is what any other reasonable person would do. This means you cannot engage in murder or bludgeoning someone after they throw a single punch. Consult a GOOD defense attorney who works specifically with self-defense cases, I can show you a few as they are actually quite widespread and not common. As always be SMART and follow the laws in your area!)
